No there was definitely a level sync at some point at least but, like I said I can't confirm it right now. I think its also shown in one of mr. happy's videos but I can't find it atm.

You are incorrect, but I will give you pictures to demonstrate my point:

Edit-in (Just in case of character limits, keh!) : Basically, what you see above is that the Second Coil / First Coil of bahamut do not impose a Level Synch or an Item Level Synch, compared to the others listed. Merely, they are stating that the requirement for entry is to be a minimum of level 50.

Now, it's very possible SE will add "Sync from 53" as dungouns tend to do, but there is nothing requiring that. Merely, it is only a minimum of level 50 to enter, just like the minimum to enter Copperbell is 17, but it will sync you starting at 21.
