Id rather see them giving i130 gear to fresh 50 players trough some easy quests than making everything so easy/low ilvl, that person with i130 will just faceroll every dungeon.

Or current ilevel 130 gear get nerfed (downgraded to ilevel 115 gear or ilevel 120 level-sync on lv51+ content) ^^
Wow... just wow. I don't think anyone facerolled Turns 1-5 when it first came out and the only things we had to wear as 'proof' of high level was AF+1 Darklight. And there was no iL to speak of. Heck, people then beat Titan Hard in bikinis! Stop swinging iL around like it's some kind of measuring stick for e-peens. It's not even that! Not even Final Coil needs iL130 and people are STILL having trouble with Twintania, even now! Turn 5's been nerfed for how long? Heavensward is not going to have something as stupid as a 'No Life King Only' sign to access the content. If anything, they are just going to need you be level 50 and that's it, like all the rest of the updated story quests. This is an expansion, not an end-game raid.
Imagine the beginning of 2.0.
That'll be the beginning of 3.0.
Thats what I want. I want 2.5. endgear to be like 3.0 starting gear. To have troubles in dungeons etc..)
With no poetics weekly cap, getting 120 gear for new players will be like farming darklight earlier. So it should not be a problem then..
2.5 endgear (that would be the same as 2.4 endgear) would be more starting gear for the first 3.0 endgame, not for the new leveling dungeons. The new leveling dungeons will help those people to gear up for endgame who don't want to do a stop at lv 50 for the lv50 contents. I think the first dungeon would drop gear between ilevel 100 and 110
Also since 2.4 the devs are testing out ilevel-sync for dungeons to reduce the overgearing aspect.

I dont wish for SE to gate out new players or casual players from new content. I wish for SE to make Heavensward the way that FFXIV veterans would feel like starting in ARR again. And ilvl is a huge deal in this matter. If you have i130 in ilvl90 dungeon, you can just skip half of the mechanics because of your high dps.
This problem could be solved with making the new content (lvl 50+) ilvl 120 - 130. If poetics wont be weekly capped, if items to upgrade 120 to 130 will be in new crystal tower (not weekly capped), then new players wont be gated out of new content and old players will be able to enjoy the game. For them the gear farm would be almost like darklight farm in 2.0.
Guess you missed where I said people were STILL having problems with Twintania... That said, 2.0 didn't start with level 50 and iL-whatever. iL wasn't a thing until after the first few patches. I beat Amdapor Keep in Company gear. Titan Hard in Toxotes. And neither as a dead body. Stop trying to foist your idea of 'limits' onto people. Yes, there will likely be an iL limit, there can't not be now. But it's not going to be on par with Final Coil. It's more than likely going to be along the same line as the dungeons, and I think Snowcloak is... what, 80? 90? This is where it should be so that EVERYONE can enjoy it and not just the tryhards.
That doesn't make any sense, by the time we get the expansion everyone will have i130 from FCoB/WoD and it will be facerollable easy on release, wouldn't you want a higher ilvl so it isn't facerollable easy on release and forces people to get better gear until the next major update?
