I really wish I could hop in here with a cool idea for how to fix the inflation problems on the market, but figuring out an in-game economy is not really my forte.

That said, I don't think the merit of a person's Novus weapon should be based on the amount of Gil they own.
I understand that SBing exists, but with the RNG element, a person is just as likely to have to spend the same amount of gil on gear before obtaining the right materia as they would just buying it straight off of the marketplace.

Which then, if someone is less fortunate in gil or doesn't have the RNG god gene, they are left with 2 options;
- Hold off until the point they have enough gil to buy the most advantageous materia for the weapon,
OR
- Settle for the shittier option and buy/use materia that is more affordable, leaving them with an irreversible, inferior product.

I just don't like the idea that something someone is working so hard to obtain will only ever be as good as the size of their wallet.
