    Just a bit curious...

    Where exactly are those areas that's really susceptible for getting interrupted by other player's attempts?
    Anywhere a node exists that's around enemies. Particularly so if they're enemies that aggro. Particularly more so if it's an area that other players frequently traverse. So... quite a lot of them. If it's an unspoiled, or mooch fishing? Potential waste of a whole lot of time when it happens, and I'm already up to numerous instances of this occuring in just the past few weeks. DoLs have no defense against this sort of thing other than hoping nobody will come by and aggro these things around them.

    A frequent offender spot for me lately has been a spot someone above me already mentioned, North Shards for fishers. The path is not that wide and the hapalits tend to shoot off a big circle AoE as soon as someone runs by and inevitably aggros them, which can easily cover the whole width of the path.

    You're quick to throw the word ignorant around (sorry to burst your bubble but I love gathering, probably more than you do.) It's just the simple fact you take the risk of gathering near hostile monsters or getting hit by an area of effect skill, that in itself is working as intended. Interruptions does suck, but it's not ignorance other than not realizing if they do this change, they have to do the change universally or balance is skewed.

    This includes to battle content as well. So no, don't twist my post into something it's not - no where did I say "x needs it more than y".

    Thats the only way to annoy(and sometimes kill) these friggin bots in our server!
    especially that spiritbonding 5man-party, they got reported like 100x and yet still around, in the North Shrouds! <-<

    Got killed at least 4 times near where the morbols are from the fishing quests the Ixal give out. Had to find a hiding spot away from high traffic areas.

    I call it as I see it. If you can't recognize that this is an issue that affects DoLs far more than anyone else, that's ignorance. Simple as that.

    That does not necessarily mean that I think only DoLs deserve to have an adjustment made, but it does mean that I think they're the only ones that need it. If I'm on a DoW/DoM and someone drags something on me and gets me AoEd, I can either ignore it because it likely wasn't severely interrupting anything I was doing anyway, or I can easily fight off the mob. If I'm on a DoH, I can just go craft in town. If I'm on a DoL, I get to do nothing except suck wind and whine to a GM, and even then it's not like the GM is going to give me my items or my unspoiled node back.

    I'm curious as to what makes you think what we have now is a "balance" that needs to be preserved, rather than a blaring obvious problem that needs addressing.

    Not only is that completely irrelevant, I also completely don't care. My bubble's just fine.

    The "balance" is already skewed as it currently is, and I already explained why more than once.

    Could, but that would actually affect the rest of the "non-DoL" game, even if only in a minor way.

    Simply giving DoLs AoE protection (only from enemies NOT on the player's hate list) while gathering, or while Stealth is up or whatever, would have pretty much zero impact on the rest of the game, and would be the solution that would make most sense to go for from a designer's standpoint.

    Or giving DoL the skill "throwing stone" back
    Haven't been around long enough to know what that does @_@
