Getting hit by others' enemy AoE while DoL gathering

Once it happened to me while I was fishing in irrelevant gears.
A ppl determined I was a bot(?) by my gears, without any words and tried to mpk me.
So I intented to see the result by no reaction but he tried hard still failed to MPK a lv50 fisher in Lv1 gear^^;

add:
location - fishing 2 fishes for the Ixali Daily Quest
mob - those ochu type , death breath (?)

maybe you dont understand the complaint, the complaint is someone fighting their mob and the mob using an aoe, and the gatherer that has no hate/and may be invisible still gets hit by that aoe effect, and causing issues for said gatherer. unspoiled nodes will vanish if you are in the middle of gathering from it, if you used any buffs to get the items, you will loose the buffs and waste gp

though i wouldnt expect someone that didnt read all the information to understand this

Thanks and I'm sorry for the mistake. You have rules for that, it's gameplay disruption, a thing that you can report to a GM if it's done on purpose, which is hard to determine. Even though your suggestion is nice, I don't know if they are going to implement it. Good luck with that.

Hi, you totally missed the point.

I'm not talking about YOU getting aggro, I'm talking about other people getting aggro and their aggro dropping AoEs on them which happen to hit you. For which Stealth currently doesn't do jack, you'll still be hit. And if it inflicts any direct damage (which most AoEs tend to do) your gathering process will be interrupted, unspoiled node lost, mooched fish disappeared.

In terms of balance, if you as a DoL get immunity from AoE's I demand:

-Immunity from AoEs as DoW/DoM unless targeted to me. Hey, it's only fair and it brings balance.

That's fine with me too if they actually want to do that (it's another sort of change to FFXI they eventually made after a while and it certainly didn't cause the end of the world to happen there), but you're just ignorant of how the game works if you think anyone else needs the change as badly as DoLs do.

DoLs must go to specific highlighted points to do their gathering and can't move mid-progress while gathering like DoWs/DoMs can with most of their actions, and even in the cases where it does interrupt/fail an action they can just try again after a second or two. DoHs can craft almost anywhere they want, including areas without any monsters. DoWs/DoMs almost always have freedom to move and don't experience automatic action cancellation upon being hit by any damaging AoE, nor would it force them to potentially have to wait another hour to do whatever it was they were doing even if it did work that way.
