Getting hit by others' enemy AoE while DoL gathering

Please put an end to this. This exists for literally no reason other than to allow players an easy way to grief one another, whether intentionally or not, and it's not like gatherers have a free choice of where to gather like crafters do with their crafting.

Tbh, an argument could potentially be made for not allowing AoEs to hit any players who do not have any sort of aggro on the enemy using the AoE, but at the very least this should be applied to DoLs in gathering mode, who have no ability to move and can even lose out on unspoiled nodes or mooched fish this way.

Why not just tie it into the Stealth DoLs get?
"Provides immunity to Area of Effect damage"

only DoLs get it, so it couldn't be abused by DoWs.

Whether it was intended or not, it needs to change. It literally serves NO good, not even as any form of game "balance"

It only gets players more riled up at each other, and it only gives the GM staff more griefing calls to handle.

Not everyone doing this is even a jerk. A lot of the times I've had my gathering interrupted, it was clearly accidental, from some guy just running by and aggroing things. It still shouldn't be happening.

Once it happened to me while I was fishing in irrelevant gears.
A ppl determined I was a bot(?) by my gears, without any words and tried to mpk me.
So I intented to see the result by no reaction but he tried hard still failed to MPK a lv50 fisher in Lv1 gear^^;

location - fishing 2 fishes for the Ixali Daily Quest
mob - those ochu type , death breath (?)

Hi, you totally missed the point.

I'm not talking about YOU getting aggro, I'm talking about other people getting aggro and their aggro dropping AoEs on them which happen to hit you. For which Stealth currently doesn't do jack, you'll still be hit. And if it inflicts any direct damage (which most AoEs tend to do) your gathering process will be interrupted, unspoiled node lost, mooched fish disappeared.
