Currently the "Job" names that finalized are: Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragon Knight, Bard.
** Maybe the axe and bow class are just not finalized, don't be afraid!
** There is no any evidence that bow class will get a job as Bard.

So as you can see there are 2 mages listed and I can't really see anything other than CON = WHM and THM = BLM. If I stretch my imagination I could maybe see THM going Bard since they are both debuff jobs, but that's a slim chance.
I'm not saying it makes perfect sense, I just don't see how else they would do it.

Well, its not official tho. Just because the jobs are ready doesn't mean they are going to be added right now. It was just a general comment done in an interview...like the one regarding gardening. Its different from, as example, materia system, which we do already got several official responses regarding it. Job system is just the opposite...no info we got regarding jobs was official...we got official info only regarding the job system mechanics, but never regarding jobs themselves. Even the GLA unlocking PDL is speculation because Bay used this as example...even tho he did say it was an example people jusr assumed it was true...and then we get MRD becoming PLD with a great sword and people will be pissed...because not all FFs had PLD tank...actually, most have it as DD...even FFXI had it as DD when it was added. Maybe MRD become PLD and GLA become Defender...all is possible....Defender actually was a much more of tank class than PLD...we just assume PLD will come from GLA because it does have PLD signature move already...Cover.

Now go back and read what was said in the interview.
He is listing what they have done, what they are working on now, and will be working on in the near future.

Available from patch 1.18: in addition to auto attack, the enmity algorithm will be totally changed. The new algirithm will accumulate all hostile action into hate list until the end of battle, which is different from FFXI (in FFXI some kind of enmity will wear out by time).

Available from patch 1.18: the Cure will devided to single-targeted cure and AoE CureGA. For the sake of smooth playing.

Available from patch 1.18: The enmity will be visualized by something like "a meter".

About raid dungeon, there will be multiple routes to clear. The loot item will change based on the time spended, and the route choosed.

They are preparing interesting summer event.

All these things that were mentioned in the interview are now live in game.
So how can you say that list of job names are not official?
Are you waiting for the patch notes?

Now as for what Job each class unlocks I've already said there has been no official designation.

But I can bet the whole farm that:
LNC unlocks Dragon Knight
PUG unlocks Monk
And I'll bet you my sweaty subligar that
CON unlocks White Mage
THM unlocks Black Mage
GLA unlocks Paladin

Bard I can't really say.
Ranger seems most likely for ARC, but that name hasn't been released.
And the whole point of this thread was guessing what Job MRD would get.

But still there is differences from a player-translated interview regarding possible future changes and the official info like a letter from the producer, a blue print or an official note translated by a community rep.

Actually, this difference is big enough for both Yoshida and Tanaka asking people to not do translations regarding dev team notes and stuff to prevent misunderstandings.

But think positively...if/when they confirm you guys are right you can come here for retribution lol!

If a patient goes in for a rectal exam......I am pretty sure they don't need a "certified letter of authentic action" to realize when the doctors finger is in there anus. Its just one of those things that you know......and if you don't know when someone, a doctor or otherwise, has part of there anatomy in your anus. Well, your lifes just gonna be more difficult then most.

Yeah yeah...that was a disgusting example you know. Still, some perople does want a certified regarding this...that's why in most countries you does have a nurse in the room to make sure what doctors are sticking up your ass does is a finger. And that's how things work.

Some people can believe on stuff much easier than others...some just trust their sources...some other might rather wait the official source...its simple. But the thing is that here you heard an unofficial info and does is treating this as an absolute info...which is not the case...right now all this are just rumors of an announced content. Its the same i'm starting arguing with you regarding Vieras ingame just because they announced the missing genders...there is no viera announced...just the missing genders...and still we can or not have Vieras added at same time. I would want an official announcement regarding it before making plans...but you're the kind of person that already even have the name, skin and hair color chosen for your bunnygirl.

Hopefully DRK will be using great sword here. I never liked the scythe thing in FFXI. And hopefully DRK will come from THM instead... ^^: They already said there might be new convertion traits...so nothing a job-exclusive +500 HP -500 MP trait can't fix =P i'd cream my pants if i could convert my DoM into mixed mage-melee with jobs, having DRK for THM and RDM for CON.

I've seen a lot of people miss this, because they have pulled their information from the quote that Holyomen used - but I believe that they specifically mention Warrior as one of the jobs in Japanese of that quote. I don't want to take anything from Kristina_Farron for the work in that, but if you look at the translation that Reinheart made in this post:

For job system the jobs that are planned and decided are Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, Bard (Job names are temporary) *Probably forgot to say Warrior.

The asterix is not Reinheart's notes, the line "Probable forgot to say Warrior" is the last part of the Japanese comments. You can stick the Japanese in Google translate and get a unreliable garble of words that does end in a comment about Warriors.

Just thought I should throw that out here for someone else to look at that could be more qualified at finding the truth there. In the least I thought it was worth mentioning in this discussion.

Although I could see a really bad Carpenter fixing a bow and turning it into a harp.
