    Reasons for mods to remove threads?

    So, since a few days I've been looking for a WHM for my FCoB static, since the one we used to have can't make our times anymore. I thought of making a topic on the forums to try and reach a broader audience (apart from just hoping someone sees my PF ingame).

    It looked a little like >this<. I remade it because for some reason it got removed, however I had an awesome 'about our team' section with a little info about who we are/what we do. Couldn't remember the wording I used and it was less awesome the second time, so I decided to leave it out (for now, I might redo it later).

    I just want to know why it got removed and if there's a way to find out? I copy/pasted the same topic to other topics like the Companies forums, where I see other FCs recruiting aswell. That also got removed. I just don't understand? I even checked the rules, I don't see any violations.

    Unless they think us being semi-hardcore falls in this category;
    Please do not post false, fabricated and/or fictitious information.
    It's just my opinion, guys!

    Anyway, back to the question at hand... Is there any way to find out exactly why my threads got removed?

    Was it this thread or another? http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...king-for-a-WHM

    Either way, you can contact a GM via in game support desk, in game GMs are the same people who moderate the forums, they can clarify the reasons of the thread deletion.

    According to Enkrateia you can inquire GMs about forum actions, just don't send a customer support email or you will get a generic copy-paste answer.

    Nope, it was a thread I made (I think?) 2 days ago. Since our current WHM told us he won't be able to make the raidtimes anymore starting next week.

    And yeah, will try and contact a GM ingame. Didn't know they were the same, thanks.

    Greetings, everyone!

    Since I'm out of the office right now, I have asked for someone to post a reply to this thread for me to clarify a few of the concerns that were raised.

    The GMs are able to discuss any type of account action on your account with you, usually with most of the details that do not include revealing information about another account. Those details would include things like who reported you; however, those details usually do not prevent us from discussing the specific violations leading up to the account action with you. This could only be discussed with the account the action was issued against, since that is the only way for the GMs to verify that they are speaking to someone who has access to the account.

    As for the original concern about forum posts being removed, the majority of those posts are removed as a Spam violation, since virtually identical posts are posted to multiple forums. Being out of the office, I cannot verify if this is the case for this particular instance; however, the type of post and the ways it was described as posting usually falls under Spam violations when the forum is being moderated.

    You are certainly welcome to submit a GM call to discuss the reason the posts may have been removed. Before you do that, I would recommend looking in the e-mail linked to your Square Enix ID for an account action notification mail. These e-mails are often captured by automatic spam filters, so you should take care that e-mails from us are not being sent to a spam folder, since important information about your account status could be missed. Checking your spam filters is highly recommended for everyone, not just people involved in this situation, so that any account notifications are properly received.

    I hope this helps clear things up.
