What kind of a Gamer are you?

I have several types that I switch between.

The Merchant, The Adventurer, The Story-Liner, and The Role-Player. I would have picked Casual Gamer as well, but I play a lot more than an hour a day. I just tend to focus my attention on a good many things rather than one specific thing, which separates me from the hardcore.

God, I wish Konami would localize that or at least sell the franchise to someone else like Level-5 or Atlus so we can get more SoD goodness.

They had a good thing with the runes, I wish they didn't kill off neclord he was awesome.

I never touched the one for DS and as for the PSP suikoden I always wanted to test it but looked like a legend of legaia game.

Suikoden tactics I will end up buying it eventually but man i wish suikoden stayed 2D like the first 2 without the 3D added into it.

The DS Suikoden wasn't bad, I must say, though it was my first suikoden so that may be why, but yeah I too wanna check out the unlocalized PSP version. I fear that this is gonna be just like Valkyria Chronicles 3's unlocalized status. At least that has a fan-translation tho :P

Adventurer with a bit of the Role-Player (but only where there's a world large enough and progression paths different enough to actually notice changes between alts, if I were to level them).

I'd say I'm a cross between an Old school gamer (moreso due to age and growing up on the Atari/NES/SNES/Genesis/PSI-II, etc) and role player.
Except I don't really learn toward the retro games.... JRPGs are the only thing I lean towards, but I do get old-game-nostalgia if someone mentions it or has the name of an older game character.
Aaannndd a little bit of adventurer - I always want to try new content to challenge myself and see how things progress (just not... things like FCOB....) but I don't immediately jump ship once I run out of new content.

Suikoden <3 *Salutes the bear...lion.... flag...... thing* Viktor and Flik need to make a comeback. They were the best, in my opinion.
There was a Suikoden FB group selling the Jowston Alliance and Highlands crest on tshirts for a while (they were funding a gathering). Hated Luca Blight (and he wouldn't freaking die.) and not a fan of the Highlands, but got both for the feels.

The only Suikoden I couldn't stand was IV..... a.) couldn't help but laugh at the main character's "I really need to pee" general run animation (got old, though), b.) I've literally fallen asleep with the controller in my hands during long travels via boat. c.) Snowe. Period.
Didn't see what was the huge deal about Suiko III, though but I can't say it was bad, either.
Tierkreis I felt was a good return to the older two Suikodens after straying so long...
I wouldn't mind seeing the SuikoGaidens localized - even if they were technically just sort of playable graphic novels. Took place during Suiko II, following Nash - whom being in the background of the goings on... so it sort of fleshed out the background of II's storyline a little... (as if it needed it)
