Idea - New DF Roulette: Challenge (iLv Sync)

This would use the same dungeons as the High roulette, but when you entered the dungeon your iLv would sync to the minimum requirements for the dungeon. If the devs wanted, they could also revert older dungeons back to their original difficulty for the roulette (Bees, anyone?). As this roulette would be more difficult and time consuming, the reward should be more than current High Lv roulette, and it would be a nice touch to have the original loot drops in it as well.

The devs have said that they don't want older dungeons to become completely obsolete or way too easy (i.e. the current 110 iLv cap) so something like this could help bring life back to the older dungeons. There are some small issues though. For example current roulettes help to fill slots in groups that would otherwise wait a long time to fill and this suggested roulette would not as only people who signed up for it would be thrown into it.

It sounded like a fun idea to me so I thought I'd throw it out there.

It would likely just be more soldiery than the normal high roulette offers. I can't see them adding any other kind of reward for a roulette. One thing they could add is a minion based off of a mob or boss from each dungeon and make it rare (but not quite as rare) like the nutkin.

Remember though, min iLev reqs would put you much lower than iLv70 darklight. The tonberry chasing you would be scary again!

The thing with this is that only very few people would do it unless the rewards are high - if rewards are high you will see many people complaining about difficulty.

Either way I think this kind of suggestions should be focused on expansion content rather than current content, they won't do major changes to current content other than making stuff even easier so people can move on to Heavensward.

It's hard to say, but I'm sure a lot of people would do it for the bonus tomes. And as far as difficulty is concerned, it's like Savage Coil. It is supposed to be difficult and challenging, that's the point.

I'd certainly do it for a hefty bonus to soldiery. If I were to take a benchmark I'd put it at 150-200 extra sol to run WP at i50-55 gear. I really need to gear up my alt classes
