What if Dark Knight has no base class because any DoW/DoM class can be it's base class[1][2]?

You just have to be Lv 30 to pick up the Deathbringer Sword ... and your journey as a Dark Knight begins.

[1] It will just replace all of your existing skills and give you Dark Knight skills when you equip the Job. No cross-class skills slots or maybe 2 that you can pick from any class.

[2] It might ease the tank shortage to have an easy to level (and maybe easy to play) tank available.

My fear is that this will be like the Death Knight in WoW. You have to have a 50 job to unlock Dark Knight and boom it's max level from the start. I would be severely disappoint.

That... that would be awful. I can only imagine the amount of bots/stupid/new people running level 50 content not knowing what to do at all.

I'm expecting that there will be requirements to unlock it, but that you'll level it up from one like any other class/job. You equip the soulstone/weapon together, and if you don't have a weapon you can't equip the soulstone and thus can't be a Dark Knight.

At least that seems like the most plausible thing to do.
