The same number of clicks is now muscle memory at this point after doing it hundreds of times. The only thing stopping you from an accidental reset is a Yes / No selection. I agree that a Checkmark box would completely rid of any possible accidents.
As others have said, you need to unequip your retainer's gear before you can reset their class, no matter how many yes prompts you click.
