About the Carbuncles ...

This has probably been done before but it's been bugging me forever.

Since 2.0's release, players have been asking for the Carbuncles to be added back to SMN. It's been more than a year and there is no news from SE.

So either,

1. Feedback loop is broken and they aren't getting the info.
2. They have "other plans" for the Carbuncles and don't want SMN to have them.

Personally I just want to play a Class/Job, that works in end-game content, with the Carbuncle as a pet - preferably as a non-targetable pet; feel kind of bad when the poor thing takes hits.

I don't ask for much.(YMMV) I'm not too concern about things like 1% DPS differences. I just want to play along with a Carbuncle pet.

I suppose I should explain a little why I care so much.

For me the Carbuncle was the "deal closer", it's what got me to take the leap and get FFXIV. I started playing under the (mistaken) assumption that I could be an ACN all the way - yes, I was fairly disappointed at Lv 50. LOL

It is what set FFXIV apart from other MMOs for me - a lot of Western MMOs seem allergic to "cute things"; everything must be "manly"/"intimidating". Without it, FFXIV to me, does somewhat feel like "just another MMO".

Every MMO has "elemental minions". Every MMO has a "nuker" - although I have been playing my BLM more than my SMN lately ... it's a mage/wizard; nothing wrong with that BTW.
