    coil/turn of Bahamut (Im confused)

Now and again, I sometimes hear about players doing this endgame stage, is it the absolute ending of the game or something?

Anyway, I was wondering about the coil or turns of Bahamut, which is first and when does it start to happen (despite Lv50 being the primary requirement)? With ACN at 34, Im miles away from doing this sort of thing.

Can someone explain this part of the game, if thats ok?

Coil and turns is one of the same. Coil of bahumut is comprimised of i believe 11 turns in total now.
There is first coil which is turns 1-5, second coil known as scob which is 6- 9 (maybe not sure as i have not completed second coil yet) and then 3rd coil.
You first unlock coil through the main storyline and no it is not the end of the game per say. Expansion is coming out Spring 2015 after all.
Each coil does have certain gear level requirements in order to enter. If you do not have soldiery gear yet at level 50 you can run Syrcus Tower to get that gear first.
Also to note each turn except for turn 3 drops items, turn 5 drops weapons for example. Hope this makes a bit more sense to you now

There are three coils, which are broken up into a total of 13 turns, 1-5 for the First Coil, 6-9 for Second Coil, and 10-13 for Third Coil. They are the "end" in the sense that finishing all three technically wraps up the 2.x storyline of what happened after the Calamity and all. Heavensward will obviously have it's own plot that adds on to or follows the plot of ARR.

It begins sometime after the end of 2.0's last main scenario quest. You need to finish what was all of the main scenario (Praetorium), achieve the highest rank in your Grand Company, and dispatch the hard mode versions of Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan to open up the Binding Coil of Bahamut. All the turns and subsequent coils open sequentially with dialogue driven quests between the Binding Coil of Bahamut and the Second Coil of Bahamut, and between the second and the Final Coil of Bahamut. At this point the first two coil areas (turns 1-9) can be entered through the duty finder and farmed all day long. The Final Coil of Bahamut allows you to complete each turn once weekly at most.

    Ok, thanks for the info.
On the main storyline quest, I'm nearly at the 2nd primal trial fight (Titan), but at the moment, I'm just leveling up each combat fighting skill to job level.

    Heya Vertreya Zarran ^^

Mind If I toss a few guidelines here?

Seems you chose to main an Arcanist (be it either Scholar or Summoner)

I would suggest you to unlock both of the jobs right away; it will give you a boost in stats when you will use a Job's Stone. Plus summoning Ifrit - Titan once you will beat it, you won't use the carbuncles anymore. (which is sad, I know.)

Try to push Thaumaturge a little bit (26) to unlock Swiftcast. As a caster-type, it will give you a nice oomph!

Next would be Conjurer (you can unlock White Mage) up to 34 to unlock another cross-class skill: Stoneskin

These 2 skills alone are very worth your time. (I use Stoneskin on my Paladin)

I would go that route first if you plan to play spellcasters.

Else, the process is the same ^^

For the rest, by the time you will be lvl 50 and unlock all that the main story has to give you, perhaps all 13 Turns will have the Echo buff (boost to nerf the content), I wouldn't worry about it.

    Hope that helps.

Have fun, the most important point! ^^

Man, is there anything I love more than completely unsolicited gameplay advice? I think not!

Question: I hear about Binding Coil of Bahamut, can someone give me some info?

Answer: Let me tell you how I think you should play your class!

I have actually got SMN, SCH and WHM, currently working towards BLM (THM at 26). I'll go back on WHM, once I've got the final THM quest sorted and BLM earned.
    Thanks for the advice.
