I do think it's largely random. I'm sure if you charted the times and days you may be able to find a pattern, but it wouldn't mean that players on other servers are worse than players on yours. It would mean that more players are on at that time. More players = more chances for a jerk.

Let me give you an example. During 2.3, Sunday nights were a grief fest on Siren for hunts. One Sunday night however, it was magic. three S ranks were up at the same time and the group, in an organized fashion, tore through them. Timers called and honored, the whole deal. Same with the A ranks that followed.

What made this Sunday night different than any other Sunday night? Maybe nothing. But by strange coincidence PSN was down locking a large percentage of players out of the game. Are PS players jerks? Nope. No more than PC players. I played WoW long enough to know that Jackass isn't limited by what you play on. But having less players on meant fewer chances at dealing with a jerk.

Also, these right here are words of wisdom:

Also? Simple odds. The majority of other players you encounter will be from other worlds. If you happen to want to look someone up, they're probably going to be from elsewhere. For Chaos data center, there's only a 1/8 chance that any given random person is from your server. And that's the data center with the fewest servers. The odds only increase for your US data center character.

You say it started around october. Which is also the time when people moved from hunts to dungeons for farming stuff. It's also when people who had to do coil had to start farming a new currency to keep their characters competitive. Thus, condescension is born.

The "Another World" could also mean that they are IN "Another World", i.e. they are currently on another server in an instance. Kind of like you only see the opposite team in a PVP match as "Fresh Meat". If you check on another player while they're in DF, you'll see them being in "Another Wordl" aka instance server.

    Just an idea

Using DF there is a higher probability that you will be grouped with players from other worlds rather than your own and it just so happened that the times you experienced rudeness was when running with players from other worlds.

If there's 1000 rude players from lets say 10 different worlds, you have a much higher chance of running into the 9000 rude players from the other worlds rather than the 1000 from your own.

As an alternative to blacklist in df you could switch to the battle log tab and make sure you disable party chat for it, although the easier method is to just ignore them.

Why are you having such a hard time accepting criticism? A good player will listen to criticism in an effort to better himself. Trying to blacklist someone just because they told you how you could be doing something in a way rather than another is just silly.

They're on another world so you'll just spend like 30-40 minutes with them and prolly never see them again so whats the big deal?

    P.S
having item level 110 doesnt automatically make you a "good player" so I would advice you to put together the criticism all those players gave you and try and see for yourself why they gave it to you.

Ilvl doesn't mean anything in this game.
There is players ilvl 110+ that does thing... you're sometime wondering what there is in thier brain to do such things.

    Exemples :

Ilvl 110 tanks that cant keep aggro on packs of monsters from a BLM that do AOE without the buff, and no double flare (even a warrior once)
Healer that do mecdica2 at pull
Bard that never use Requiem with Magic DPS in thier party
Players with lower DPS then tank (or just a little highter but, WTF ? Are they doing only gasic attacks or what ?)
Players that get aggro and begin to run away at 200m instead of going near the tank.
I can have many more explemes but I cant remind them all, but thier is thread about this like " post your healing horror's storys", or same for tanks I guess.

There is some ilvl 110+ players that I wonder, how did they get to lvl 50 ? By playing so badly you should not even be able to do the solo quests for the clesses.
Or maybe they didn't do those quests and are just playing without those skills... That's also possible.

Hmm. It looks like an explanation candidate for me. Thanks.

I110 means that player got some thousands of sold just now - before 2.4. How?
