Well it did long ago (altough it makes me think of Soul eater more, we will have to kill a Witch to complete the weapon !!!), we already gathered souls inside in the Animus book part, the atmas gave the relic the ability to eat souls, ate souls in Animus, upgraded with materias in novus, harmonized the souls in Nexus, now we will have to transfer the souls to a proper weapon it seems.

As long as the next step DOESN'T involve mastercraft demimateria...

mastercraft demimateria is pretty easy to get if you got cooking leveling with gold desynth. But I doubt they would use it because mastercraft is use for crafting stuff not battle stuff.
