Please introduce Flying Text filters

I do not need to know every time a BLM in my group refreshes his Astral Fire III.
I do not need to know every time a Monk changes their stances.
I don't need to know when everyone else's cooldowns wear off.
I don't need to see every speck of damage landing on a mob.

Please, allow me to turn off everyone else's flying text so that I can better pay attention to my own!

Agreed. Fly text customization would be one of the first things that will come with addons but knows when they will get here.

Just being able to turn off others so you could concentrate on your own would be a huge qol feature.

Agreed. This is why I dont use the flying text option, But I would if there were some sort of filter.

Edit: For example, I know lots of players hate to compare, but, on FFXIV 1.23b, we had some sort of "flying text/dropping", but instead of flying up/dropping down it will just pop up quickly, it will give you the damage/status effect/etc, and then just go. It will probably be 1 second or 2 at most on the screen. I won't link aything here for sake of not cluttering with links, but feel free to check 1.23b videos and check what I am talking about.

I would love that back, the "pop in place (aka don't go up/down the screen) then fade", instead of "pop ands fly up/down all over".

This is a problem? No, really, I have seen the flying (dropping?) text and it's never been an issue. It flies (drops?) off their characters and unless I'm staring at their character I don't even notice it. Usually cause I'm busy watching for AoE, enemy casting if my silence is ready and it's a bad spell that should be stopped... you know, the battle in general. You must have alot of free time in a fight to notice this stuff.

I mean, I agree there should be a filter, but it's not entirely distracting when your flying text is bright orange and everyone else is a dark purple... very easy to keep track of yourself.

I noticed last night it can be a little annoying.. played around with my HUD on the fly and put status effects where negative ones would be right above my character in t7..... well, lol, let's just say a few people got stoned... didn't notice it due to all the text falling right through it lol

It's probably more noticeble/annoying while playing with less resolution, where everything is huge, even with items in the HUD on 60% normal size. Like I said before, I don't really mind, because i just don't use the flying text, but if i had an option to instead of flying up/down, there would be a "pop up 1-2 secs, then fade" option without the text going up/down, It would be easier to check that my buffs/actions/etc actually went off, instead of having to watch the action bar, chat bars, buffs/debuffs bar, etc.

But that is just prefernce I guess.

It s a shame that nothing has been done sonce the launch of the game ... I mean i clearly not so hard to dev and it s something that people ask very ofen ...
I meam playing tank with the text on is complety impossible ... So many number in so few seconde that you actually don t understand anything ...

Put some filter ... Let some other dev addon to make filter if yiu are to lazy for it ... But damn it do something looool
