by original program i mean motion joy. at least i think it was the original program to provide such functionality. however, the program is quite out-of-date. it's a little slow and has adverts on it. but is better then the so-called better DS3 tool. just IMO.

or if you want, you can try a simpler way. instructions. this will give you basic support. all buttons and such should work fine. you can charge too. however you won't have any special features like rumble intensity or sensitivity options. or re-mapping functionality. just whatever options you get through the control panel.
