You're most welcomed. I think DF needs a whole different discussion forum and not just a threadThank you for the reply.
However, from what I'm reading, there are a lot of players who feel the current DF rewards are not enough. If not for my suggestion, do you have one for how to alleviate this issue?
I know some people believe this will all be alleviated when 3.0 comes out because there will be new tank/healer classes, but it will also likely come with new DPS as well.but in short and sweet... I find the issue is with time rather than classes regardless how long we have to wait to commence duty. It became so predictable that SE can now forecast game play. For that I agree that rewards should be better for an avg of 45 min of DF game play plus 1hr of waiting
. I would say add value to exp point and increase cap to lvl 90. Anyways they will raise it to 60 in 3.0 but how long till we cap that, a week or 2?
then again back to farming ts.
Sounds good but it's unfair to have a person's currency based on the thoughts of another player. Considering one player may have a monopoly on commendations should they end up with a 3-man pre-made or should people be boosting commendations.
Hmm indeed, but it'd just be an extra bit of currency. Not so different from adventurer in need (which is a bonus based on what's in the queue, which in itself is driven by what players play, so it's indirectly based on the thoughts of other players), but instead of giving gil (which is relative to markets), it's a currency with a fixed system.
I'd imagine that 3-man premades are not so prevalent that it'd be an issue, but it's true that could come up.
I'd like it if players who stay long enough to receive a commendation but don't bother to give one, had any commendations they got from that run nullified. So if someone gets paired with a party of 3 in DF and commends no one, and the other 3 commend them, when they exit they see- you have received a commendation! x3 and then under that- "Commendations will not be counted due to abstaining from voting towards commendation' or something.
players are already awarded for giving commendations. they are given EXP and Gil. and even achievement rewards too. which IMO shouldn't be happening. the player shouldn't receive a damn thing for giving out a commendation. it completely undermines the value of such an action and system.
if the instanced dungeon went smoothly i give out commendations like so...
as healer they go to tank...
as tank they go to healer...
as damage they go to damage...
it is fair like that, in my opinion.
if the dungeon went less then smoothly. then i either commend no one. or commend a player that did something notable that may have changed the tide of any one encounter, even trash mobs.

If they threw Allied Seals as a reward in for Low Level Roulette, I'd do it. But as has already been said, the current rewards for doing it aren't worth the time invested. Why spend time doing that when I can spend an equal or lesser amount of time doing something else for better/greater rewards? Plain and simple.
What about a bid system with commendation points? There will be limits including how much you can use at any given time and week but the idea is to let players use commendations to add to their loot rolls in df or trials before they roll. Item drops and he decides to use 5 commends he has gotten this week to add 10 points to their final roll. If the system rolls 65 for him the result will be 75. Again the system will not be based on commends accumulated so far but starts fresh while keepimg the old total counter and has their limits to not allow players overuse the system even if they farm commends with friends.
Lately no one comms anyone lol.
Everyone just leaves ( in hm primal )
Open chest then leave ( dungeons )
Only time ppl stay if a minion drops or something of value. Even then no "gj team, etc " just silence and leave lol.
Even if i carry hard as a healer in failing df parties, barely anyone commends lol.
2.3 and beyond changed ppl lol.
I blame gear cuz now tht everyone is over geared, ppl think meh dungeon/ fight was too easy no comms needed.
I carried a handful of titan hm fights where it was just me, MT and 2 dps or 1 dps lol.
We'd tough it out for a few mins till i can healer lb3 or we just beat him like that. Usually i get comms for saving the run but now even if miracles like tht happen im lucky to even get 1 comm now lol
Unless no one stood out in particular (or, for that matter, exceptionally sucked) I tend to go: Roegadyn (regardless of job - yup, totally biased and don't care) > dps job > either tank or healer (depending who was better at their job OR if both equally good, the one that looks better). I always commend people, unless the party really, really, reaaally sucked and was ridden with bad attitude.
