Can someone explain a few things. new to Fimal Fantasy.

So I am a player coming from World of Warcraft and im just wondering what stuff there are at end game and how you go about getting PvE and PvP gear??

I see people on about t1 t5 t11 t12 etc. Whats this?? I know t means tier. But just to know how the game works. Also are there normal dungeons?? And what are Fates?? Are these like rifts in rift??

Also the game is out over a year now. Is there a new one coming out soon. Am I wasting my time getting into this now??

When you see people referring to T5 or such, they mean Turn 5. Turns are individual levels/bosses of the main progression raid/dungeon in ARR, The Binding Coil of Bahamut.

In regards to sequels, there is an expansion coming sometime this spring, but you aren't losing out by playing now, since you can be ready to start right away on new content when it hits, and there still is some content left to be added to the 2.x sequence yet.

The T1, T2, etc. just refers to turns of coil of bahamut which is an end game raid. 11 Turns in total which you can think of as stages of sorts.
There is normal also known as story mode dungeons, once you hit level 50 (max rank) there is some hard mode versions of some of the story mode dungeons, different enemies, mechanics, etc.
Fates are basically large instances were players join in, kill enemies and gain exp and they are on a timer as well and respawn after so much time, but there is usually several fates in a area.
PVP i believe you can only have access to when you are higher leveled up, i have not done much of it so not entirely sure.

As you rank up you get tokens in a sense and can then purchase PVP gear but it is not a must if you don't want it. As for the game there is patches every few months with new content and the first expansion is coming out Spring 2015, trust me there is tons of stuff to do as there is several classes, you have crafting classes and also gathering classes like miner and botanist
