Not sure about the Alex. I've heard they're psychotic like that.

and also for the Novus part along with the Alexandrite you need to meld a materia with it and you have to use the proper grade level depending on how much you have added already to that stat. And on top of that the meld can fail -.- (you don't lose the alexandrite though small victories I guess...)

I've got to do it too. I've heard it isn't the Alex that gets you though. It's the materia costs.

Yes I have heard of people spending lots of gil ( read someone spent around 40 mil on it ) I am still about halfway done with my Animus. When I am not working on that I just use my Book of Spades instead
