Duty Finder queues are too damn long!

SE, I demand you get your act together and fix all these issues over night or else....or else I won't be very happy! Make players want to play the classes that I need. I don't want to play them because I don't want to so make other people change.

Good job making fun of people who complain that it takes too long to queue for something using a job they enjoy (you know... enjoyment... game) and seemingly not seeing SE do anything to attempt to change the situation.

I main a tank too, since I had to wait over 8 hours to try and level my black mage. I got it to 50, and until SE brings in some form of viable solo content for DPS, I won't touch a DPS class anymore. It's not fair I can't play a class I wanna play, and it's not fair that there's no other content aside from dungeons that offer a reasonable rate of exp (As soloing FATEs in low level areas is not a good way to do things, I've died a LOT)

Actually, SE are doing something about it or have you missed the news from the last two FanFests? Dark Knight will be a tank. On top of that, there are the two tanks mounts they released. Yup, really looks like SE are doing nothing about it...

2 Healers. (White mage and Scholar)

Edit: Turns out the gap was bigger than I thought, and to clarify, I'm only gonna count the jobs and not the classes.

The mounts are obtained only by running lots of 'high level' content as war or pld, and it only counts coil and extreme primals iirc.
They're an incentive for players to play tanks at endgame level.

DPS queues are extraordinarily long, to the point that it is difficult to progress or enjoy the game. Pointing fingers at the players, expecting us to go out of our way to level a new class/job we don't enjoy, does nothing to further the discussion of this issue. I'm sorry you have failed to understand other points of view on this topic, OP, but your post is quite childish.

I frequently get queue times of 60-75 minutes, any time I try to get a DPS class I'm leveling into a dungeon. That's not something I consider acceptable, and it makes it very discouraging to even want to play other classes besides my main (healer). Just think about what this must be like for new players, leveling their first character, who need these dungeons for their main story quests. And consider that DPS queues have been a major problem in the MMORPG genre for many years, and SE's method of addressing this issue was to design "Light Parties" which require fewer DPS. Don't act like people aren't justified in expressing frustration about this.

It doesn't matter on the ratio of jobs. The ratio of jobs doesn't reflect the number of players wanting to play those jobs. Look at the census, do you think the number of players choosing to play Tank: DPS :Healer is in line with the number of jobs of Tank: DPS :Healer? No! Of course not. Why? As I said, player choice. The only way SE can really "fix" this issue is by forcing people to play a role they don't want to. Good luck keeping subs while doing that.

I would play on my tanks more if it wasn't made practically impossible to gear more than one job per content patch.
