Need Game Pad Help "Dead Zones"

Ok, stop. Do not go and buy another controller. I had to read the post but I am asking to make sure, have you adjusted the in-game sensitivity?
Why people are suggesting new controllers first without asking this is silly. Even if you have >.>

I keep mine set at 55, it works well for me. I also use a wireless xbox360 controller with an official receiver. I used to use a clone receiver and that failed because it was cheap.
I also tried a PS3 controller. Personally, the "triggers" feel like I am pressing down marshmallows.

Also, I like logitech. If you can somehow manage to get your hands on a chillstream, I highly recommend them! They xbox one uses the xbox drivers, also the sticks, to me, are MUCH nicer. I'm not talking a slight difference, it was definitely noticeable. The sticks had little play compared to my Xbox controllers and had a firmer move, took more effort but in a good way. Felt more secure.

360 controllers I find are still pretty good, either way. You asked about fixing your controller, not recommendations on a new one.
