    Scholar AOE healing advice

so normally i don't have to worry about AOE healing cuz my partner usualy takes care of it, but recently we've been trying to get mog down (cuz i still need it) and at the last phase ppl start dropping a lot and unfortunately he some times dies, so i was wondering can i do as a SCH to get the raid stabilized so i can focus on getting ppl back up if my healing partner is down for the count?

Rouse + Fey Illumination + Whispering Dawn (+ Succor if necessary).

People mostlikely die because they are doubledipping with Mog Rain of Death, not avoiding Delta, tanks swapping at too many stacks or then you healers have to up your game during the pivotal parts of the fight (the mandatory cleanses for the debuffs).

The damage in Mog is pretty low when executed properly, so make sure everyone knows what to do in terms of avoiding collateral damage, not messing up and stuff. It's mostly just single-target healing: tanks, Rain of Death targets, the people who get whacked after the non-Rain of Death marker (not sure what the attack is called), with AOE-healing pretty much only required after Mog Meteor. The few moments where it's more cost-efficient to AOE-heal shouldn't be that difficult and or MP-straining, but if people take insane damage in short periods of time, it has to do with some mechanical fails mostlikely.

Only AOE-heal when needed or if you have the MP to pre-Succor/to support the WHM. The fight is more about controlling the DPS and knowing all the mechanics, rather than bruteforcing through mess ups. (Which can be done though!)

People are eating unnecessary damage. You can put up only so many Succors and you need to do it preemptively.

Also esuna/leeches charm and the moogle go round debuff off of people. The rest is positioning by tanks to avoid buffing moggles.

Place your fairy in the middle of the arena, keep in mind that for the most part, succor and whispering dawn won't reach everyone beyond the stack for mog meteor. The damage should be minimal though, if you can't keep people up by yourself then chances are a trick is being missed somewhere.

in mog ex the scholar and whitemage both heal a tank and follow the tanks around at a distance (to avoid getting charmed). normally you dont have to party heal if the whm is casting regen on players, cures 1 and 2 are reserve for the tank. scholar has it easy and just keeps the tank up and throws out leeches when charmed is cast, tops off single targets if something goes wrong or if whm is too far from that person to regen.

thats how my static plays it (me being the whitemage) and normally its a nice smooth run unless a moogle was killed by accident.
