Not suggesting multiple egis per fight either. Just pointing out that the strategy it added was limited to which Egi you start the fight with. During the fight, you can't adapt to changes.I am not suggesting summoning multiple egis per fight all I was saying by different strategies was that leviathan egi for example could add a slow debuff to enemies or shiva could silence or something. It would just give the devs more to work with especially if elemental resistance's became more prevalent.

All we know is Spring 2015 atm.

I also want more summoning power.

once upon a time ifrit titan and garuda were the only primals

That would be good idea if pet summon do not cost mana, but its way too expensive. And i believe that new ability share cooldown with contagion if it is into it.
One min is a pretty long CD for "frequent use". You switch, then it's one min before you can switch back. In the meantime if your pet drops dead ...
Also 532 MP. Ouch.
The current design of our pets is not suited to switching nor reliving at frequent intervals.
It's really an archaic design IMHO - a holdover from WoW. They want us to "take care" of our pets hence the heavy revival cost. But we are only given Sustain, a quick cast to avoid too much impact on our DPS, to do so.
It feels a tad "contradictory". You want us to take care of the pet, but give us limited tools and don't want us to shift our attention too much from DPSing.
IMHO it might be better to either make the pet invincible or make up keeping the pet a big part of the SMN "rotation" with a full toolkit to do so.

For reference both Physick and Eye for an Eye work, and you can cross Stoneskin as well. One min is a pretty long CD for "frequent use". You switch, then it's one min before you can switch back. In the meantime if your pet drops dead ...

However, the main idea is so the player does not carelessly use the pet. Making it invincible would make it the "best" tank in the game assuming aggro is held, beyond the free, no downtime damage/healing. Tools to keep the pet alive are wasteful when proper placement and movement can do the same. Besides which unless they were free, simply re-summoning would be more cost effective in the long-run anyhow.
