    Thanks, Devs!

    No sarcasm folks, move along.

I am actually posting to thank the devs for making Atma a reasonable thing to go after by increasing the drop rate. As of this morning, I've been able to get 4 more Atma which may go toward the Yoshimitsu if I don't get Vajras first. This is the progress that we've been looking for in the Relic questline.

    Again, thanks.

Progress was already there you just had to do it, but you decided you didnt want to do it. Making things easier will end up killing the game. You see with out any challenge or long term goals the game becomes stale, boring and old fast. Humans need challenge not something that is stale and boring. Yes somethings are repetative but that is something that cant be avoided even in real life. If everything is easy or is handed to you than you learn nothing, but if something presents a challenge regardless if its a grind it can teach you patience, will power etc.

I can not thank the dev's for nerfing content as this is something that should not happen as quick as it dose.

I've seen this argument a LOT...in games that are still around with active playerbases even 10 years later. I have yet to see any evidence that making old content easier actually harms a game.
Most of the games I know that've gone under have been because of content being inaccessible, not too easy. Also bad management but that's neither here nor there.

*edit* and also, thanks to the devs as well. The atma droprate increase is definitely welcome. Timesinks involving RNG =/= difficulty.

The only thing they're making easier is catching up to the rest of us. If they keep old content "hard", it will become more and more difficult for new players to get into content as the rest of us move on. Imagine a year into Heavensward when everyone is busy with the second or third version of the new raid it has to offer. How many veterans will be around the early game stuff to get these people through the mud and up where the rest of us are? This game is still pretty new. The disparity is not where it will be later on.

Man, the FFXI brainwashing is strong in this one.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

what will eventually kill the game is if they keep it dungeon.

After a while it takes its toll, I just started to play again after a 3 week break and only did two dungeons and already sick of it.

Main reason I feel like the goal is armor after story is over that's what it all comes down to armor grinding so 15 bucks a month for armor levels.

Reason I still play is well things like ultros fight and classic fights, I wanna see cloud of darkness and waiting for golden saucer, I am trying to be patient but dungeon spamming gets super old quick and hunts are okay but tiring also teleporting all over the place, although like I said still for gear, should be some other goals in the game not sure why they haven't added them.

FFXI was the greatest MMO ever, so many great memories, I have played many MMO nothing compares.

FFXIV is great but it could be 100X better, that's why FFXI is the Flagship game and it was on ps2 which runs on old tech but expected old games usually beat out new graphic games.

I played FFXI as well. I spent over 9 years in that game and the memories I've formed in Vana'diel are something precious to me.
However to say that FFXI was the greatest MMO ever is an exaggeration. FFXI, at its peak had issues that never got addressed. Even now some of those issues maintain.
Despite the many memories that I have in FFXI, I refuse to look at it through rose colored glasses.
Just because something is imperfect doesn't mean that I cannot care for it.
