You, I like you and your ocd. I'm very much the same. What I did back when my FC was purchasing our house was go to wards and sneak in other people's homes. Take some squared paper and try to find homes with walls/floors like Riviera wall/Oasis floor, that have a clear pattern. You can easily make a rather exact floorplan by counting these and converting like 1 board in riviera wall = 2 squares. Bam homemade floorplan. Don't think I got mine still lying around else I'd upload :P
PS: Sneaking in other people's homes also provides excellent inspiration, so does the furniture combination thread in the Housing forum.
