Can we get new leveling gear?

ARR has been out for over a year now, and we didn't get any new gear that isn't lv1 glamors or lv50 endgame gear.

We did not get a single new Lv2-49 item in game since it was released. Not counting event items and daggers.

It's even more strange since with the introduction of NIN, I was expecting a number of eastern style leveling clothes to match it, but we didn't get any.

This makes me wonder if this trend will continue when Heavensward launches. Can we just forget about getting any new leveling items and settle for the 1.0 rags we have right now? (Remember that a lot of those sets came with bets to complete the look, but after their removal, a lot of this gear looks simplistic and boring.)

I know how much Yoshi and his crew love cutting corners, but here's to hoping 3.0 comes stock-full of new leveling gear.

That is because the majority of the time in the game is spent at endgame level 50 not leveling.

It'd actually be neat if we had the "Heirloom" type equipment WoW had. Gear you don't have to replace till you're at 50, levels up with you, and gives you a combined exp bonus per piece you wear.

I'm happy with a few pieces of lv2-49 gear added every patch to spice up things, and maybe replace some 1.0 gear. The lv32 Brayflox sets are an example of good leveling gear. They look much better than anything you can get all the way to AF armor. Maybe more of these new designs thrown into leveling dungeons.

1.0 Designs were good for their time, but I'd love to see an upgrade to the leveling sets we have available.

Not all glamor gear needs to be lv1, annoying to get, and useless.

Wow is for children, too damn easy because of things like 'heirloom' gear.

This reminds me of "Legacy" Armor in Free to plays, and is often shunned upon because it's often a cop-out to actual armor designs and modeling. I doubt the developers want to deal with that kind of thing. Adding this kind of armor would make all the other armor useless pretty much, as this "armor" would look cool off the bat, and you'd never need to roll on stuff like Plundered set in Sastasha, which you can sell for money. Are you also trying to put crafters out of a job, and make armor prices even higher?

I'd personally vote to not have any more of WoW's nonsense to come into this game. It's ideas like that nonsense "heirloom" system that turn modern gamers into what they are - lazy, entitled, and impatient.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them boost the main scenario quest exp to be enough to get you to 50 by itself, boost the armory bonus, or introduce more moogle cap type gear for mid levels. There's enough content at 50 to get rid of a lot of the level grind. But with new jobs in 3.0, don't expect it until at least 3.1

Considering I could get to level 50 in 3-7 days when 2.0 released (With one class), this is highly unlikely. Most of it was FATE and guildleves, and some dungeon runs. (Mind you, when 2.0 released, we had an insane amount of arcanists running around just like rogues.) I also only took sidequests that were at most, 5 levels under me, in case I wanted to level other classes. I also deleted that character and made this one, and I still got to level 50 in a week or two with one class. (Both times, I was DPS. The second time was during 2.1)

I know of three characters that also only play one class/job, and won't bother to level anything else.

Which would make them utterly useless for highlevel end game raiding due to the lack of cross class abilities.
