Being told to just give up on something when you are one point away must be immensely frustrating. Especially when he has absolutely no control over it. I can understand needing lots of money for a relic but unlike Relics in XI, the money spent wasn't "gambled" away. You had to buy or farm X so much currency items back then and once you had them That was it! No gambling! You just turned em in. However I can see how XIV's relic can make anyone bonkers. Firstly you have no control over the cost of the materia's should you decide to buy them, then you have no control over whether or not you succeed or fail the meld. To be honest, I believe that in this case for Novus relics there should be 0 chance of failure, and I personally dont think that's too much to ask for. And if SE did ever change the way Relics were materia'd to reflect this, I wouldnt be angry even though I have already completed mine. I'd be happy for all the folks after me that dont have to go through that hell. Not to mention, impeding progress just for ego/selfishness is kind of retarded.
I mean take coil for example. Tons of people are butt hurt about that, but they still eased the content. Materia's for Novus should be no different.
