I have been trying to infuse this last savage might materia IV for about 7 days now. I have blown up 15.5 million gil trying to infuse this last one. Please either change the infuse % or sell materia IVs from a npc for like 1500 solderys. The cost is to damn high 550-600k a pop is nonsense. Spending all this time farming gil, i cant get anything done. Its very discouraging to have so much wasted on something so trival as one materia. Please please do something, change it.

I doubt they will change the rules for this now as the people who already spent all their time on this phase of Relic would then be pissed off.

Sphere scrolls will only allow certain materias in each step, once you have started that tree.

If its for the Novus, they wouldn't be able to use a lower tiered Materia. And I agree with him. The cost of materias is too damn high :P

There is nothing to fix/change and heres why:

1: Materia prices are players fault not SE:s
2: Its free of choice to pursue relic or not, soldiery weapon is more then enough to do any content in this game right now and there will always be weapons to go for that dosnt require massive amounts of grind/time/gil in the future.
3: Spiritbond your own gear, if you got gather/crafting classes its gonna cost you nothing but time.

And alltho id agree that 75 materia would be enough and that the % chance to fail wasnt needed, its not something that SE could just change now cause that would cause endless rioting from those that already went thru the pain (me included).

It is SE fault. There change to SB destroyed materia. Either see materia from a NPC or change the % on how to obtain IVs. Have ilvl70+ gear have like a 99% chance to convert to IVs. this 3% is bogus.

Oh right, I haven't done that phase in months thought it could be any.

I can understand sticking to it, as just 1 point off (you should be able to stick a tier 1 of some other type you haven't already infused, right?) would frustrate me every time I looked at the unevenness of it all. Keep at it! I'm going for DET on mine, too, but I'm still a long way off. For me, though, that means lots of time to spiritbond lvl 46 equipment and hope for the 10% IV's (got one Acc and one Det already )

Just give up on it go for the ironworks weapons.

At the rate armor and weapons and same strength and power I see no reason to waste gil on such a thing, if I want it i'll do it later when prices go down FFXI 101
