I'm happy with a few pieces of lv2-49 gear added every patch to spice up things, and maybe replace some 1.0 gear. The lv32 Brayflox sets are an example of good leveling gear. They look much better than anything you can get all the way to AF armor. Maybe more of these new designs thrown into leveling dungeons.

1.0 Designs were good for their time, but I'd love to see an upgrade to the leveling sets we have available.

Not all glamor gear needs to be lv1, annoying to get, and useless.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them boost the main scenario quest exp to be enough to get you to 50 by itself, boost the armory bonus, or introduce more moogle cap type gear for mid levels. There's enough content at 50 to get rid of a lot of the level grind. But with new jobs in 3.0, don't expect it until at least 3.1

Considering I could get to level 50 in 3-7 days when 2.0 released (With one class), this is highly unlikely. Most of it was FATE and guildleves, and some dungeon runs. (Mind you, when 2.0 released, we had an insane amount of arcanists running around just like rogues.) I also only took sidequests that were at most, 5 levels under me, in case I wanted to level other classes. I also deleted that character and made this one, and I still got to level 50 in a week or two with one class. (Both times, I was DPS. The second time was during 2.1)

I know of three characters that also only play one class/job, and won't bother to level anything else.

Which would make them utterly useless for highlevel end game raiding due to the lack of cross class abilities.

Sorry, but that not it. Basically we can "repair" a Bow, but not evolving.

Don't get why you would want new leveling gear, when:
    1. Someone stated that the game focuses on when you hit level 50 (raids, new dungeons, etc.)
    2. It's easy as hell to level from 1-50. You just need motivation.
    3. It takes probably 3-7 days, maybe more than a week to level 50 if you're doing it casually (i.e.: if you're crafting, or don't have enough time.)

I think what you're talking about is the BoA Gear, or Bind on Account, from WoW. Gives major EXP boosts for a major price from your guild (1.5k gold a piece, but I guess that isn't much in WoW anymore.)
It may be a good asset, but let's face it...this isn't WoW!

Ya'all are making me feel bad for taking 3 weeks to level ninja to 50... By just doing roulette then capping off the level with hunting log entries and leves.

You shouldn't feel bad. I've been sitting at 42 for the last two weeks. It just didn't feel that critical to speed level something that I wasn't going to play that much.

WoW is for self-entitled children who want everything immediately.

Skipping 90 levels is why there are so many bad WoW players now.
Heirlooms aren't the issue there, you end up with a 30%-40% xp buff? That's really nice and all, especially when combined with a rested buff and the passive guild buff, but you still have to go through the levels and do the content. If a player in looms plays poorly, it reflects poorly on them, not on the heirlooms.

The "buy a 90" program is a problem though... that's just asking for bad things.

Some people would take the time to learn the class I'm sure, but I'd bet that a large number don't bother.
