It's not a waste of time. Silencing paying players voices about things they'd like to see in the game would be moving in the wrong direction. There is a reason they overhauled the FFXIV team and started looking more into player feedback. Some of us are bothered by the lack of butts on all of the characters. One of those small things that may not seem like much but irritate people who do notice. Much like the tiny scratch on your nice car. Once you see it, you always notice. I believe that if you feel that adding butts back into the game would affect you in some negative way and really ruin your game play or immersion, then express it here, without player attacks. But simply saying it's pointless to bring up and for some on here attacking others, it will get this thread locked down. We should always be allowed to freely give feedback to improve the game.

I believe you may have failed to read both the Title and the OP to this thread. The main topic is butts. It may have spread into other things, but those were off topic.

Seriously guys we know butts aren't happening. We've had dev responses. If I ran this forum I'd just lock every thread with this topic I saw because it's a waste of time getting peoples hopes up by even having the discussion about it. It won't happen. It doesn't matter what our opinions are on the matter.

You must fail to understand the amount of times the devs have said one thing and done another. You're basically in here to oppose the other side for no real reason at all

I love this topic and feel it would be a nice choice to have in the character creation process. Maybe if this ever becomes part the game, I'd like a Chest Slider to. I know we have this already but its kinda broken. I made my Character flat chested ( like myself irf) but many of the outfits in the game wil show her with a full chest. Not a big deal but ....it would be nice to realy have a choice.

If they add the slider, they have to go back to all previous gear and rework it to accommodate the new feature, which requires a ton of work that would likely take months to update. I highly doubt they would ever do this, especially since they have a ton more other important things to do. Making armor designs in 1.0 wasn't an issue because you only had the few set races, and 95% of the armors made were used skins/colors from previous armors, so it was not a big deal. In this version however, SE is adding new gender/races per expansion and have to make the armor sets work for each race. SE's reuse of old armor designs is much, much less than in 1.0, getting some new and unique designed armor per patch. It is understandable they would sacrifice some small features to stay at a steady pace like this.

So basically it comes down to, do you want to add these sliders, putting dev's in a corner and likely would release different skins of the same armor, or would you sacrifice small features like the size of your butt so they have more creative freedom?

Seriously, butt sliders will lead into more development time to release gear. People complaining that different gear defaults their butts to a certain size. (Much like Fran just posted about her bust in certain gear)

If you don't stare at butts all day, it doesn't break your immersion. There's already way too much going on, on the screen, as long as you are actually doing stuff, to pay attention to your butt.

I'll go to another level. If not having a larger ass ruins your gameplay, please don't play with me. Let me know if you see Misenklauph in your DF, I will gladly leave at the beginning and just take a 30 minute penalty.

Problem is they're not going to go backwards and redo the gear that's already out there to work with new models. Adding a slider is in fact adding a new model. You can want this as bad as you like, you're just never going to get it.

And you fail to understand the reasons they gave for their refusal to do it and how nothing about it has changed. It's not suddenly easier to make all the gear look the same on every class, the ps3 isn't suddenly more powerful to handle the extra polys, and they didn't hire tons of new people just to redo ALL of the old gear for the new butts. This is completely dead on arrival and threads like these do nothing more than stoke the flames of hope needlessly and fruitlessly.

Just because they've changed their minds in the past doesn't mean every situation is changeable or that they will always change their mind. That is a logical fallacy on your part.
