Wolf's Den died because of all the mistakes and imbalances it had at the start.
  • PvP Skills were to necessary and you didn't start with them.
  • Level 50 PvP could have extremely disparate power levels depending on if the participants had i50 or i90 gear and Morale just amplified this.
  • Matches were basically determined by which team can kill the healer first.
  • Semi-premade teams had an incredible advantage.
  • Class balance was poor. Blackmages and Summoners were overwhelmingly powerful.

All that drove away participants after the first few weeks.

The Rank pairing system would not be so problematic if the player population was large enough. Wolf's Den queue times hit 3 hours often because 1 team is missing a role (often healer) and none are queuing.
