Remove it.
Anything to get WD more active, even if it just brings it a bit closer to the activity FL gets, it will still be leagues better than what we have now.

have you ever considered that mayyyybe people don't do WD anymore because it's not really funny ?
I mean, we did some FC fights for the fun, and that was quite a good enjoyment, but really... Queue alone, and it will just be a healer zerg. No fun, long queues for no gameplay or no time in the arena. You're out before even starting to enjoy it.
And well, when something isn't fun anymore, people stop queueing for it (just like AV as an example).
But do not worry, they said they're considering implementing a PvP roulette. If rewards are appealing enough, people will come again.
There's a few things they could do to fix this (at least I would imagine), have an "Unranked" Wolves Den arena which, regardless of your rank, PvP skills are not used. Yes, it goes against PvP but higher rank means access to more skills. Would also need an ilvl sync, i110 seems more than appropriate as i110 gear is no longer gated on a weekly cap. And someone at rank 45 has access to the same skills at rank 1. snip
The ilvl sync is more than enough.
Also everyone gets all the skills for free (ALL of them) all you can do is upgrade with rank points. The first 20-30 ranks are also super fast to get, even the higher ones don't take that long nowadays, so i dunno how having maybe 3 more skill upgrades than someone creates a need for a sync...
The name of this thread is Wolves Den and pretty much everyone here is talking about the stupid ques times or even if you could get premade parties there is still a long que times. I find WD fun and i know many others who also feel the same way, Id like to have less obstacles to get into wolves den.
Frontlines is just filled with idiots wanting to show off who can feed the other teams first and lazy people who camp at a flag and run off when a 1 enemy shows up. In WD you cant do that and everybody has to think and pull their own weight. I really do enjoy WD and Id like for a working df to let me play the game I like without waiting for a extra 10min to do so. Having a healer die in the first 10 secs suck but even still the same happens in boss fights and dungeons but I bet you dont rage quit every time a healer makes a mistake?
I think what would really fix WD is more rewards than just glamours, maybe more things like Mounts, furnishings, minions, etc. something for the PVE players to really be motivated into trying and learning pvp. I personally think the pvp gear and warhorse are sweet but I find PVP more fun than most other content thats just the same boring dungeons over and over and I bet if it wasn't for the drops and tomes almost nobody would do ever them more than once.
I also think that it suks that PVP gets almost nothing every patch and it really should have some new arenas, I think having a primal themed arena, hell they could pretty much reuse most the primal fights seeing as they are all circular like current arena, just add some walls and done. I'm just saying they clearly don't seem to put much support toward it so thats a nice way to recycle old assets to please the small and ignored pvp community.
Another feature Id like is a Lobby at the wolves den where players can just set up teams and fight without waiting in DF, I imagine something simialr to each turn of coil before it was put in df (wineport for first turn, Fallgourd for second turn). I feel like having these will allow the PVP community a real place to meet up and form parties or even to set up WD matches with certain conditions like No healing, 1v1, 2v2v2, matches where everyone get 1 phoenix down. something to switch up the gameplay.
I came up with a few (probably too many) ideas to fix WD and make it more fun and different imo. Im sure many other posts and threads have also been already done to help improve PVP in XIV but sometimes it seems parts of this forum are just vanity to make us feel important. Im sure this isn't the first place that some one has mentioned to get rid of the dumb ranks that interfere with the DF que times and yet they are still there. SE, Yoshi P, GMs, someone If you do anything atleast just get rid of the stupid rank restrictions in the DF so the people who actually want to play can just play!
~~~sorry for the walls and walls of text ~~
You can edit your posts to get around the 1000 character limit.
And all the current 4v4 Wolf's Den amounts to is which team can kill the other team's healer first and then clean up from there. There is little chance of recovery, turn a rounds or other things that would make matches interesting.
I would like one vs one pvp as well! And why does it have to be in an instance? Why cant we request to duel someone anywhere? I'd love to settle a score in the midst of East Hawker's Alley!!
Also, Frontline queues are horrible as well, it's not just WD. During non-peak times, FL queues are over an hour easily. It's hard to get a match in the morning before work.![]()
I think you are just unexperienced in wolves den to say that... If u think 4v4 is just rush the healer like nobrains... but no problem...You can edit your posts to get around the 1000 character limit.
