for the ladies we have

Overlord Rikkustrife - I had this weird "mad max beyond thunderdome" vibe going on in my mind while looking at this shot. Not sure if you are surviving or being worshipped though, its a bit lost in translation, but I dig the mad max thing.

Rhaya Relenah - I appreciated the artistic approach in this shot, crop you out, its just a desert, put you back in and there's a huge story going on. I kinda liked the simplistic but intricate outfit style too.

Xev Bellwyn - My immediate response to this is, AW how cute, eat it for nourishment naow!!! While the clothing doesn't suggest living on the edge of death, it still loved this shot.

---Men ---

Adam Fylrmyn - One of the first basic steps in desert survival, find shade fast. I loved the angling work in this photo, and choice of gear, nice work.

Flare Anderfel - “Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and going of Him. May His passage cleanse the world. May He keep the world for His people. ” That sums it up. Wonderfully fun shot.

Marik Destiel - Muad'dib, another dune like approach for this round, learn to ride the worm to become one with the desert ! I enjoyed this, it was near not choice though for one main reason, the angling/positioning felt off, good story but remember to be mindful of the camera.

Good job to everyone else, this was a tough round to do with only 3 choices

Ladies:

Eirwen- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! It literally looks like you're at wits end trying to survive and it's amazing! It's not just a beauty shot, and your expression is perfect. It's obvious you worked hard on it.

Sakuraya- Way to go being the only night shot for ladies! Deserts are actually more dangerous at night, and it looks like you captured the distress of being lost and trying to survive very well! Your party is dead and you're the only one left trying to fight off enemies and it looks great!

Kaiyoko- Pretty and perfect for the subject! The look of suffering and the pose you're in are really great, and the mirage effect makes the shot beautiful! I wish I could get you a glass of water lol you look like you need it there!

Guys:

Epsil- THANK GODS IT ISN'T SAND! I loved this shot for more than just that though! It looks great, the coeurl in back creeping up on you is an amazing touch, and the lighting looks great while it's also a night shot! It's probably my fave from the guys!

Flare- This is cute and a great shot too! It looks like you're about to get gobbled up poor thing! Your expression is priceless too, great job!

Jinx- You look absolutely and perfectly lost! I'm not sure the chocobo will be able to help you find your way, but he does look super good in that lighting! I'm also glad you didn't pick an entirely sandy background for the shoot!

4. Iris Dawnshade: This shot was tied with Lowena's for but I had to make a choice. >A> Your angles and posing are nice and this piece tells more of a story then Lowena but there was a prettiness/glamor about Lowena's that I liked. The only advise I can give for future shoots would be to maybe wait a little later during the day, so that it would be darker, and abuse the Sun Minion (or any light source), that way the background will be darker then you and the foreground, creating more depth (this advice can go for anyone. Rhaya, Jinx, and Epsil use this kind of lighting a lot).
5. Sakuraya Kai: This piece also tells a story (look at all the story telling pictures <3). Your angles, posing and lighting are good. My only critique is that some people might not see the theme in this picture, its focus is more on battling then being lost and trying to survive in a desert.
6. Xev Bellwyn: A very cute picture with nice lighting and a nice pose. I only wish I could see a little more of your face. Your hat and signature hair are making it hard to appreciate your lovely, unique face. I also wish the foreground was lit a little more then the background.
7. Rhaya Relanah: Your posing and expression, along with the vastness of the desert help tell a story here. However, I wish you were turned a smidge more towards the camera so we can see more of that expression (and also so that we aren't looking up your nose D: ).
8. Overlord Rikkustrife: I love the story and humor of this picture. However, I wish the camera was lower and turned to the left a little. Turned to the left because there is nothing going on on the right side of the page, and lower because it would help sell that you are the happy one, while the extras and the viewer are the defeated and down in this harsh desert. Also, being placed higher then the extras never hurts.
9. Adeline Urusa: This isn't a bad picture. The lighting, camera angle, and placement are nice and I would say that you used the pose "better" then Fate (sorry Fate >A> ). However, the other Female pictures just seemed more interesting then this one.

Male
4. Aiden Weaver: I like the play with depth in this picture. My only critique is the same as last week's, I wish you were turned a little more towards the camera so I can see more of you, especially considering that headwrap is cutting your eye in-half in this picture.
5. Flare Anderfel: A very cute picture. Your posing and expression help tell a story. However, you already have three pictures that follow a similar formula: you looking at the camera, head on, making a cute/funny expression, only showing from the waist up. Your pictures are always nice but I would like to see more side of you.
6. Marik Destiel: Your posing is nice and you're at the correct angle, I just wish that worm was parallel to you, ready to face off, verses looking at the camera like "Look at dis guy startin' shi'!".
7. Fate Lhas: I know I said that I though Adeline's rendition of this pose was better BUT that doesn't mean this isn't a good shot. I like the lighting and setting of this picture more then her's and the monotone of the blue, with the yellow glow breaking it up are very eye catching. The only two things I wish were correct were that I wish the camera was lower and you weren't cut off.
8. Ronin Woofcub: You look very fetching in this picture. However, compared to the others, this one wasn't as interesting. Perhaps a different emotion would help tell more of a story. Also, Garuda is a bit distracting, her neon greeniness is drawing my gaze away from you in a little too much.

Again, it was very hard for me to figure out the orders. I contently kept moving people. >A>()

Eirwen Mackenzie: Its easy for me to imagine an entire day has gone by with this poor girl doing what she can to survive. There's so much I love about this screenshot but its still that little cactuar earring that really puts it over the top for me lol

Kaiyoko Star: Magnificent shot. The sun really looks like its beating you down and is so very harsh. Awesome timing with the emote and facial expression.

Iris Dawnshade: Great idea with the water flask here. This shot has a simple feeling to it but its very easy to understand what's going on. The desert feels vast and dry in the background and your green eyes really pop in this.

Men's

Epsil Ion: At first, I didn't feel like this was a desert shot and that you were just posing, but there are oasis' sprinkled throughout the desert where a person would go to survive. The fact that you have the weapon drawn and there's a couerl in the back changed things for me. The more I looked at this screenshot the more I felt like a couerl myself, ready to pounce on you. This shot is so casually sexy and how did I not know that the highlander undergarments looked like THAT!? Is that couerl in the background drooling for the same reasons I am? :P You may survive that couerl but not any lonely women who may happen by.

Adam Fylrmyn: You surprised me with this one. The underbrush looks so dry and you look so genuinely exausted with the sun beating down on you.

Flare Anderfel: Great timing on that sandworm, its ready to chomp down on you! I like that you show that there are other aspects to surviving the desert other than just the terrible heat.
