Bot Crafting... Anyone having these issues?

So here recently on my server I have come across several people who pride themselves on Bot Crafting.

First thing is I understand the difference between Bot Crafting and Macro Crafting but my current issue is my servers MB is pretty much run by 3 player amungst several characters. All of which have been reported multiple times and nothing has happened.

For instance there is one guy in my FC who never logs out and is ALWAYS crafting after talking to him he has made it apparent he does not care about who he prevents giving the chance to make money or not. Several of these players that I have talked to have said they would rather see the market crash then let other players make money in them.

For instance I have been in the market of Potions since 2.0 and on my server the only time an Alch can really make money using there crafts is during the first month or two of new contant, Minus Terminus Putty. Well I made about 2 stacks of X-Potions to sell and I put them up. Less then 2 hours later I am confronted by one of these crafters who tells me I need to take my potions down or he/she is going to tank the market. I politfully say I am going to keep them up and we can just keep them at the same price just different stack sizes. He/she then states that if I didnt take them down in 1 hour they were going to flood the market and tank it, I thought it was a bluff. About 2 hours pass and I come back to check my retainers and the next thing I know X-Potions of Dex had dropped to 200 gil a pop from 7000 all from the one guy/girl that said they would drop the price. I went to ask why they did that and they said because they could and because they use bots to do all the crafting and gathering anyways so why should they care.

So after all the reporting of the players who have stated that this is how they craft/gather nothing has been done. Even after Screenshots have been sent of text along with the reports. All of this is turning me off Crafting because the majority of the people I have talked to cant earn money either from the same people.

I am honestly curious to know if this is a big deal on all the servers or just mine...

I know I like to make gill in the game but this person sounds like a gill seller to me with his attitude. Sorry to hear about having such *insert insult word here* in your FC. I presumed you kicked him?

I have never seen anything like this on my server, ppl like this are scum. My oppinion is just hope they get banned and find something else to market

1) Your entire thing seems fishy since square won't accept any screenshots even after you talk to a gm.

2) No proof and it is all conjecture.

3) A lot of players don't log out, just go afk in towns or residential area's; at least on my server.

4) If SE's special task force investigated the player and they weren't banned, chances are that they aren't using 3rd party bot.

Yes there are bot and i think i've seen them and reported but as i said to you above, that's all we can do and trust SE is doing it's job.

The simple fact of the matter is that crafting potions doesn't require a bot; retainers bring mats back in bulk and crafting is a breeze (3 each craft). You see a market you can make money in, it is usually that way because someone forged blood sweat and tears into shaping that market, so it is their right to collapse it on a whim to get u out of it. Because let's face it, nothing more of a piss off then to see someone undercut you by 1 gil.

IDK about bots, I think the gather bots are currently well scripted enough that you can no longer seem them work underground but they are still around.

But people deliberately crashing markets? Oh yes, I see that.

Why not buy some 200 and relist at 199, and see if he will drop to 198 or 1. ^^;

I've crashed markets out of spite before but I know down to the gil how much it costs me to make anything so I always make a profit. It might be 1 gil per item but I always make a profit. I have never messaged the other person to demand that they remove the items and it is normally after they keep under cutting me so none of my stuff sells that I will crash the market. I'll normally stop making that item for a bit but I'll use what I have to crash the market.

I will state that I do macro craft which means it takes 2 buttons (and ~60 secs) to HQ a 2 star item. Because of that I tend to mass produce things (I'm currently make 37 synths of X-pot Dex and 38 of X-Pot Int along with 100+ Black truffle risotto). Macro crafting allows me to make things while I'm doing other things outside of game.

Also ALCH has lots of things (on my server) that will sell for a profit. Not as much profit per synth as some of the other crafts but ALCH and cooking are low profit high quantity crafts. Because I know how much it costs and how much things sell for on my server each X-pot Dex will get me ~2.4k each X-pot INT will get me ~4.4k and each BTR will get me ~2.4k and most of them should sell with in a day.

I don't learn from people crashing makets. I leave all my stuff listed. Eventually, the will want to make profit again, and the price will spring back up. When new content comes out, everthing is overpriced. After a few months the price normalized, and that's what I'm referring to. If somebody goes below the normal price, then it'll come back up eventually. They are only hurting their own profits as long as you perservere.

I guess the game team just don't give a shit about people using bots, despite the fact that it's explicitly against the rules.
