    Allied Seal cost for Alexandrite (2.4)

    If the mysterious map exchange now costs 400 soldiery tomes, then why do alexandrite pieces still cost 200 allied seals?

    I feel like the alexandrite pieces from allied seals should be lowered along with the reduced price for mysterious maps.

    Does anyone else agree?

    you can get way less soldiery that you could get myth in 2.3

    The amount of allied seals you can earn from hunt didn't change

    Still sucks for Alex farming. Used to be 10 As to get 800 myth for a mysterious map or 4 Ss. Now maps are 400 sold so it takes 20 As or 8 Ss. Nerfing map farming by half sucks no matter how you slice it.

    Another thread on this topic that i support.

    Alexandrites have been being neglected by SE and i dont know why.

    IMO:

    -B rank hunts should drop 10 Seals and 5 soli, and stay on the 5 second respawn so that hunts could still be fun and not require a party because no ones going to be doing this crap now. (this is my most suggested way to re balance hunts.)

    -High level should be the new daily not expert. (if we keep this trend we'll be doing dungeons in i1000 gear to get a daily alex? -exaggeration- but still.)

    -Alexandrite should cost 100 seals or hunts should drop 40 seals

    -Hunts should also drop 80 soldiery. Why is it still only 20? (or maps should cost 200 not 400, so its equivalent to prior 2.4)

    -FATE drop rate should be equal or -higher- than atma since you need 75 not 12. (Plus materia.. why is this so out of balance?)

    Even though i completely agree with you on this, i guess the reason they haven't changed it is because there is multiple ways to get alexandrites...where as there isn't to get atmas ...so it kinda makes sense...but yeah would be nice if they upped the drop rate

    err... not really. Think hunt seal still fine as it is. Besides, the main problem is how any of you gonna supply your own materia for meldings? When I worked on 2nd novus, I already finished alex farming way ahead than getting all the materia necessary for it, and especially that I need either crit or deter materias. In the end, I can only meld one or two grade 4 and I chose to meld the rest with accuracy. Kinda sucks.

    75 Alexandrite per job, when there are already 10 jobs in the game and soon to be more, is far too daunting an obstacle when they're this expensive, especially when this is just one of the requirements for just one of the tiers of weapon upgrades.

    The fix should probably be in lowering the costs of the Alexandrite and/or increasing its drops from FATEs rather than increasing the tome/seal rewards from hunts, though, because the Weathered i100 gear that can also be purchased for Soldiery or Allied Seals is a pretty good match for the current Hunt reward rates. I.e. it's reasonable to get if you put some time/efffort into it, but not so quick that it trivializes the rewards. (The previous i90 gear we used to get for Myth or Seals was actually a bit too quick and easy to farm with just a few hunts.)
