Only if you do it the first time, never say that you do it the first time and don't read instructions and don't have a idea that Focus Target exist (to see what the boss do while you target an add).
To unlock ST you have to clear CT. If you can clear CT, then you can also clear ST.

I like the way ST is. While it's not really difficult, it does provide some 'ohshit' moments (mainly Scylla, for me).
I don't think it needs to be changed.
It just seems easy now that everyone's overgeared for it and ran it a million times. But there will always be that flow of people (even if in the minority) that haven't run it and aren't over-geared yet. It's a fine stepping stone into harder content and future raids.
Besides, they're adding more to the Crystal Tower storyline it seems - thus more raids with most likely greater difficulty.
