You have Final Coil of Bahamut and Savage Second Coil for your difficult content.

On the other hand, casuals have first Coil, SCoB, Crystal Tower, Syrcus Tower, all dungeons and primals with echo for their content.
See the massive difference? Practically this entire game is for casuals, they just have to wait a bit longer for the last 1% content (latest Coil) to be theirs.

Syrcus / Lab of Ancients is not meant to be "hardcore" content at all. Coils are. I still can't beat Turn 5 either.
Difficulty is already augmented automatically depending of how many people you add to a duty.
Even something so simple like ST ends having some wipes.... Why? Because there's a lot of people.... The more people you add to have to clear something, the more troubles there will be and more difficult coordination will be.
That's why, perhaps, they can't add seriously difficult 4p content, because it is not possible to fail so much when you are just 4 as when you are 8.
Final crystal tower will make ST dead content anyway





Possible but not very probable when you get down to it. The number of people queueing without even the slightest iinkling of the mechanics throws a monkey wrench (with monkey still attached) into the best of plans.
@OP - ST isn't meant to be challenging. It's more like a theme park than a raid.
