I'm interested in joining as well

I'm an oldschool player from FFXI on Bahamut. I played the beta for XIV, preordered the collectors edition then played for a few weeks after release but ended up leaving in hopes that some patches would clean it up a bit and I'd come back.

After trying it out again post 1.20, I think I'll stick around for a while. I'm really enjoying it now and would be very interested in joining a fun / laid back LS just to get to know some other people. I for one know what kind of impact a good linkshell can have on your experience, I still talk to people from my old LS's in FFXI, those friendships have lasted almost 10 years now. FFXI was a good game but it had some tedious and frustrating mechanics and I often wondered throughout my time playing, why I was still playing. I realized I stuck for the community, I was attached to the people I had met and the friendships I had made.

I'd like to join in hopes of getting some of those old feelings that kept me around back again. I'm 24 now but still miss the good old days lol.

You can find me in game on "Dnied XIV", I've also sent in an application via Guildwork but I wasn't able to leave any comments or anything, not sure how that works lol. If this works out I also have a couple of friends that would likely be interested as well, there are about 3 of us total that have followed each other around since FFXI so that would be pretty cool.

Thanks.. feel free to ask me any questions in game as well. I'm a casual player in the EST time zone. I'm on most evenings during the week for a few hours then most of the time on weekends as well.

Nice to see you enjoying XIV again after these recent patches, and hope you decide to stick around. But much like you said, good friends and a good LS are the real deciding factor when it comes to sticking around and enjoying a game

I couldn't agree more with your post and the emphasis you also put on community and the friends you make along the way, I also still talk to many of my old XI friends much after my last login.

Also thanks for taking a minute to apply on our guildwork. It seems complicated and like a hassle to some at first, but the site is actually real user friendly and a lot of fun when you get into it. And considering we don't even have a lsmes feature, it's a great resource to organize fun events, and keep in contact with everyone even across all our time zones. I don't require it but I definitely encourage it.

I will be on really late tonight- and more normal hours the next few days. (I usually hop on around 5-7PM est, and am quite a night rider lately) but if I do not find you I am sure another leader will be able to track you down! And your friends are more than welcome to join us anytime just let us know their names sometime and well go hunt them down and convert them to a carnie life

some people may think I'm playing evil overload for asking people to register on guildwork- but it is a really helpful and fun site once you get into it. Definitely not required- but a great way to stay connected, especially considering the diversity of our time zones and the such (and our current lack of linkshell fucntionality) so I always encourage it. Also it's a great way to keep the community close and avoid large LS syndrome- even though we are a large linkshell

and with that, I'll mention that we are now at LS capacity. So I have to once again close the doors to carnival- but thank you all for showing interest in this linkshell! It's been a bumpy ride with many ups and downs- but I have enjoyed it and have had lots of fun with the many people I have met, even the short term ones.

I have already started the next and the "real" reform- and I have a feeling this will be the last we need. As much as I enjoyed meeting the huge arsenal of players who have come and gone, I think it is time to start working on those long term linkshell relationships

- I will update this post once our reform is worked out and we have room again for any interested adventurers

Sorry for the late reply, but I had a feeling the old merger pitch wouldn't last so I held off on some things. But if you still fancy joining us when the time comes and want to hop ship to Durandel with us~ I'll definitely keep a seat warm for ye amongst Carnival


And while I'm here! I'll mention to anyone on Rabanastre that our reform is mostly done, and Carnival is coming back with a vengeance! We don't have a ton of room to spare so I'm not really actively recruiting- but if you fancy the Carnival life and wish to join our cause, just leave a post here, on our website, or just shoot me a tell in game anytime! and I'll try to find you in good time
