It's a long shot, but...

1.0's Path Companions returning to compliment existing chocobo companions (hey, a girl can dream right?).
The 1.0 track Piece of Mind returning somewhere in the game (probably a cutscene, just as long as it comes back! Please Mr Soken!).
The option to change the GUI art style to 1.0's style (but retaining ARR's functionality). I miss the 1.0 UI art style and icons.
More FFXI armour styles! Koenig's armour and that Aht Urhgan piece that I can't remember the name of were completely unexpected, so I'd love to see what more FFXI gear could be added.

Gear based on the Knights Templar from FF Tactics.

Dark Knight gear heavily based on Gafgarion's armor from same.

I wish they would rework and tidy up the housing system. More functionality and purpose to owning a home or a FC room (and an Inn room even). Add more purpose to housing zones so people would actually want to spend their time there (I barely see my neighbors ._.) and tie houses to accounts so our alts are owners too (instead of same people purchasing multiple homes on alts they barely use).

In short, clean up the most clumsily handled housing system in a MMO I've ever encountered.
