As WHM hi-elixir has saved my parties from wiping many times. However with gear progression potions are becoming weaker and it would be nice to see updated versions.

Zumi is speaking about x-potions of stats, IE X-Potion of Strength. They're used quite a lot by raiders.I'm not really sure about this, in my server (moogle eu) x-potions are only being sold in normal quality which cost less than 1k each.. Below 100 at times.. And i think they mainly come from high level dungeon's coffer..
I know there are some people who buy bulks of them, but overall, not many people actually use them the way i see it..
The current price for an HQ X-Pot of STR on Excalibur is 4700 gil, and that price increases greatly at the launch of a new patch.
Stats potions I think is fine and I do agree that the HP/MP recovery potions do need more of a boost to their potency.
Aahh i see.. Thank you for clarification..
Second wind. Its free, its stronger, and had shorter cooldown. But if you still wasn't to be a "loldrg" stick to healing pots. When your ready to put on your big boy breeches, second wind and blood bath forever. Healing pots are just so bad they make me madPitily one cant use vit pot together with curative potion, they are on the same gcd..
People that play with me is kinda suprised knowingly i always stack up x potions..
These are a bit of example when i used it..
- I was a luldrg who kite mobs before tank realize that doga clone and haokah are gonna rape whm who use medica ii
- i was a tank who happen to win when even healers die
- i was a whm who use x-ether when the other healers are down and dps downed a lot..
- oh my mistake.. Igot hit by aoe..
I'm not asking them to be spamable, what i ask is.. They give more use along with updates..
Ethers and Stat boost potions tend to be fine and usable because their effects have not diminished as ilevels have increased unlike what happens with HP potions. An X-Ether still allows you to cast a spell the same number of additional times whether you are i55 or i130. An X-Potion on the other hand has diminished from 24% of a character's HP at i50 to less than 10% at i130.
People rarely use potions in the same sense that people rarely play their job to their full potential: they're not terrible people are just lazy and don't try to max their output.
For the amount it'd cost me to consistently use it I'm fine dropping it in all but the most intense content thank you. I keep Hi-Elixirs around for when I'm healing stuff in case of an MP emergency but that's about it for any content not named Final Coil or (Savage).

Just lower potions cd by 60% and i think it'll become more viable in the game.
Cuz using a potion that can't even heal a basic attack is like :| i remember potions being useful in almost every ff game till now lol.
I take it you never try to save yer healer from being pummeled by 3 doga clone.. Because you need to pop keen furry, bloodbath, life surge, second wind, and xpotions..
And i know people will blame me for giving my all to save healer or tank who arent doing their jobs..
