Using Ixali quests to level crafting

I know, but I'm already sitting on 170 oaknots at the moment, so It's not that much of a concern for me.

If you're sitting on 170 oaknots, you must really hate money. XD

If you're not using them, buy a ton of Ixali Sealants. They are selling like hotcakes right now, for over 270k gil apiece on my server and likely for a lot on yours as well. Sell them now, and if it happens you need Sealants later, buy them back again later when the price goes down.
