As Maduro said, it's important with the final tier of Ixali quests to only craft 1 thing at a time because, depending on the specific quest, there are up to 3 different debuffs that you can get (all previous tiers have the same debuff for every quest). They're -150 CP, -50% CP, and no cross class skills. With all 3 stacked I don't think anybody can really complete those effectively since you'd have maybe 100 CP (and no CC skills).

I personally prefer WVR to complete the quests because of CS2. When doing these for exp, it's best to get at least 1 class up to 50 so that you can more easily finish the higher tier quests (I imagine they can be difficult for low level crafters) and grant more exp to whatever crafting classes you want (and collect oaknots).

EDIT: @ Mishini: None of the quests inflict more than 1 debuff. All of the gathering quests reduce your CP (I forget if it's 50% or -150 -- nearly the same thing) but are easy to complete anyway. If you have reduced CP and no access to CC skills then you've activated 2 or 3 quests at once. You don't ever have to deal with no CC and reduced CP simultaneously.

You don't have to. Left click on the debuff that's not related to the synth you're working on. If you don't know which is which, just remove both debuffs and talk to the NPC again to get the correct one reapplied.

Since it has a lower difficulty, you don't need all that CP so nobody even notices. (SH2, Advancedx3 or x5, and Standard Synthesis wins all of those a 100%)
Thank you. Those were the ones I hate. I think I AM going to accept the TOP level quests this time, and write down the debuffs for each one, and then going forward I can only take the ones I don't have an issue with. Best of both worlds then.

I usually use CRP for the Byregot and chance to HQ not pretty bad like other class.

The XP you get for the turn-in varies by rank of the craft and scales to the level of the class that turns it in. You'll get a little over 50%~ of a level after 6 quests. I would also recommend avoiding Deliverance if you don't already have a lot of money. Unlike the other quests, it is very expensive to do and never gives Oaknots.

I have gone back and done the high level quests and my memory was indeed wrong. The two debuffs are independent. I thought there was one where they were combined, but there is not.

After doing them all my new "pick up my daily beastman" quest routine is. Go to the top level guy, and grab all available unless the quests are "A High Wind in Ishghard", or "West for fishing". Those two quests I'll ignore. I grab all from the 2nd highest guy. Then if I still have any beastman quests left to pick up I'll grab from the 3rd highest guy. Choosing "Left Wing Auronotics", or the one where you kill the headless guys and then go craft in the NE area of the zone where you pick up your relic weapon.

    *edit*
Wanted to add one thing to actually be on topic.
As stated earlier when the Ixali quests came out I had all my crafters at 30. Since then I have used them to level 3 crafts all the way to 50. Looking at xivpads.com for timings, it looks like it takes me around 25 days to go from level 30 to level 50. That actually makes sense since: 1) I don't log in every day. and 2) the rewards don't quite give a full level.

If you're sitting on 170 oaknots, you must really hate money. XD

If you're not using them, buy a ton of Ixali Sealants. They are selling like hotcakes right now, for over 270k gil apiece on my server and likely for a lot on yours as well. Sell them now, and if it happens you need Sealants later, buy them back again later when the price goes down.

I do exactly that, craft with my level 50 alchemist and turn in with another crafter. Still some of the recipes are still very very frustrating i find. Almost to the point that i do not wish to do Ixali stuff ever again, lol
And hmm perhaps going forward instead of taking on 3 or so at a time i will only do 1. So thanks for that advice everyone

It's only ~90k in Tonberry, 11k tops. And it's falling steadily.
