Has anyone done Ixali quests to level a craft? How does it work? Do I need to wait till my craft is high to do these? (42+ like the other beastman quests)

You can start them at L1 any craft.
You have to be a crafter to start them.
Do the actual crafting on your highest DoH, turn in on the DoH you wish to receive EXP on.
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
Yes I do the same. I HATE the highest level (L5?) Ixtal quests, so I do 3 L3 and 3 L4 for my 6 beastman quests. By making sure I'm the crafting class that I want to level when I turn them in, I'm able to make almost a level a day.
When the quests first came out I was already level 30 in all my crafts. Since then I've leveled 2 all the way to 50 and my 3rd is at level 46 or 47 right now. I'm planning on leveling the rest of my crafter's this way.
It does help to have multiple crafts leveled for the higher level quests as it level syncs them and you have to craft HQ stuff. The level synch seems to vary by craft though also as to what actions you can use to craft. Its great if you have a high level crafter and are leveling a low crafter, saves on levequests.
If you're not doing the quests for oaknots, you're losing a good chunk of $$ you could earn by selling sealant.Yes I do the same. I HATE the highest level (L5?) I know, but I'm already sitting on 170 oaknots at the moment, so It's not that much of a concern for me. I can handle (you have 1/2 your normal CP), I can handle (you can't use cross class skills). I can't handle the (you have 1/2 your normal CP and you can't use cross class skills). At this point in time, I don't have the gear to counter both of those penalties.
I finished of my ALC, CUL, CRP, and LTW using Daily Ixal quests only. I flagged them on those classes, crafted the items w/ my Fully Melded Armorer, ran back to the camp as my WAR (Just to make sure I didn't hand in as the wrong class) Swap o desired lower level class, hand in quests.
6 hand-ins (doing ighes to tiers) would give you 75%-80% a level, so every third or fourth day you might not level up, but in about 10-12 days I would go from 40-50 using Ixal alone. I did this pre-2.4 which resulted in my Oaknot stockpile, which I used to craft my ARM, BSM Atisan Secondary tools, and my Foragers Sledgehammer. post 2.4 I was finishing CUL, and go the mats for my Artisan's Feet/Legs/Mitts. I still do them every day, just on my ARM, I will use the oaknots eventually to make all of my Artisan Secondaries, now that my main classes are covered.
When you go to craft the items make sure you only get one at a time. Each one gives a different debuff. When you are done crafting the one, make sure you take the debuff off and then get the next one. It helps a lot.I know, but I'm already sitting on 170 oaknots at the moment, so It's not that much of a concern for me. OP - I think other people have said it, but you will want to actually craft the items using your highest craft, but you can turn them in with your lower level crafts for the XP. The only difference is that the higher the craft you turn it in with, the higher amount of XP you receive. When I was leveling my crafts I tried to just focus on one at a time (after you get them all to 15) for the cross class abilities. Personally, I find CUL the easiest to do the higher level quests with because of Hasty Touch and SH2.

I'm pretty sure he knows this XD Some of the level 5 ones cut down your CP and limit your skills. The dificulty rating on them isn't that high though. high Wind of Ishgad, for example, iirc is high difficulty, and chops your CP, bu gives you access to cross class skills. wheras West For Fishing nerfs your CP as well as takes away cross class skills. Since it has a lower difficulty, you don't need all that CP so nobody even notices. (SH2, Advancedx3 or x5, and Standard Synthesis wins all of those a 100%)
