Returning Crafter requesting advice please.

Good morning!
I left 14 just before 2.1 landed. I have 50 all DoH but for ARM15 and LTW15. I choose not to DoL. I had banked 12-15k of each shard type, 2kish of each crystal and a few hundred of all clusters. I have 1.2 mil gil. Gear is all AF triple and quad melded. All Blue main hands. I have started Ixali rep.

I feel rudderless. Soo much has changed. Could someone assist me in finding some direction or a point on the horizon to head toward? I have no issue doing all of my own subcombines and intend on buying most mats rather than farming.

Work on getting your artisan's glasses if you haven't already.

Use those Ixal dailies to level your ARM and LTW. The early ones don't have to be HQed so you can make them on your low levels, but when they start requiring HQs make them on a 50 turn them in as a low level.

Work on getting advanced recipe books on your favorite crafts.

Looked into the glasses; that was an excellent suggestion! Thank you kindly. I should have those tonight. Any other suggestions? Should I even mess with the artisian main hands or attempt supra without? Can that even be done?

You can, there's a lot of banter over this back and forth. So I ask you this :

If you go for your Supras, do you have either the desynthesis skill to reasonably acquire Mastercraft Demi's? (GSM DLevel100)

If the answer is no, It's probably much easier to go for Artisan/Artisan, collect Sealant, pay for another crafter to craft your Artisan gear (Or, you can just meld WVR/LTW first I suppose. . . and craft em yourself.)

I've been making my own Chilled Popoto Soup, it's cheap to make, gets my craftsmanship to requirements. The only things I find Challenging to HQ are Wootz Ingots. (Only NQ Mats) as long as I get maybe 1 or 2 HQ's, I can use those on the Wootz Cuirass, and I cna use NQ Ingots on the rest of the pieces and HQ 100% of the time. IMO, it's MUCH Cheaper to do it this way, and then once your into the 4* Market, you can go back to making profit from crafting, and eventually just buy your Mastercraft Demimateria.

An update: I took ARM to 50. LTW and ALC will be 50 early this week. I just finished Friendly with Ixali and am pressing forward on that front. I was able to get my CLN Master I book and I have assembled the mats to start working towards the glasses. Next up, after sealants start coming, is obtaining the shared class gear and getting them melded. I am running Castrum or other dungeons in the down time, spirit binding crafting gear to break jnto materia (2 runs will bind three sets of gear).

Any further thoughts from folks to "catch up" at this point? Thank you again for your time and advice/analysis.

If you're straight up buying the shared crafting gear (the ones with Artisan prefixes), that's a huge boon to starting up your crafting since they're comparatively better and much much easier to meld (3 slots) compared to the job specific ones.

Keep in mind that they're not available for the top pieces, so you should still get around to obtaining one. Artisan spectacles are still the best for your head slot as well.

Also look into the demimateria accessories (which are shared between all the DoH classes, so melding them is a very good invesstment as well); the Dodore Belt, Mosshorn Earring and Rose Gold Choker.

Looked these up just now. Another exellent suggestion. I already have the 45 peacock ore and 45 animal fat needed to get the GSM and LTW Master 1 book so that I can make these. Thanks again!

I started at level 5 and I started the HQ turn ins at level 20-something. I'm level 33 today, and I have done no levequests. I'm doing the "trusted" quests (BT level 4) in HQ. I do GC turn ins, but that's for all of the crafting classes. While it's a little bit of a struggle with RNG, I get the HQ. Just gotta plow through it.

These are demimateria recipes. You get them from trading in x5 fieldcraft I and x5 battlecraft I (which are obtained by desynthizing level 10-50 crafting/gathering and DoW/DoM items respectively)
