[EDIT:RESOLVED]What level is required to post in the forum? (Slow forum is slow)

I am lv28 and still can't post any message in the forum. Except "Technical Support," "Bug Reports," "New Player Help" and "Community Events" forums and sub-forums.

    According to
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-%28Aug.-22%29

I should have been able to post 3 messages per 24 hour timeframe starting from Lv.15 what the heck ?

EDIT: Ok the 'armory' is as slow to update as Blizzard's ... I'm still considered Lv.14 LMAO

EDIT2: It's only the forum cause on http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/9165689/ I'm seen as Lv.28 as expected...

..NVM, what I wrote was wrong. Just saw you're 28,not 14, and it's probably just slow to update.

Go to settings, Edit Character, for your selected character put a higher level class as your number 1.
Hum, did you even read my post at all ? I am Lv.28 but thanks anyway. I don't have any other class.

EDIT: And now it shows as Lv.28 huh. I guess I could have waited till Lv.50 and still have no forum privilege if I never posted in this section huh.

EDIT2: Welp, I can now post in other boards. Good thing I posted here I guess.

Yes I did and I saw your thing said lvl 14 on the side. I wrongly assumed your lvl28 was for a different class. But as you saw I edited my post after I went into your actual profile and saw it was 28 for just one class and it's just slow.

BTW it's updated to 28 now so it's probably fixed.

Holy molly. I know right, I was editing posts left and right as well. Seems even editing posts is slowpoke to update o_O

Well, as long as servers don't lag and don't crash, I'm fine with a "little" delay on forums lol

EDIT: But it's REALLY WEIRD that until 3 minutes ago, I was "too low of a level or used up my daily post count ratio" ... And I'm finally showing my 'true' level 2 minutes after posting in this no restriction sub forum what the hell lol.

I'm 99% sure it would have updated to Lv.15 or above when I would have hit like Lv.35 or 40 lmao. Maybe viewing my personal "armory" page triggered the refresh. Or maybe it was posting here. No idea

Well no the issue is resolved.

    Not really.
Your character is lvl 8 (I checked in: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/9223171/)

If you have another character that is higher level, you should choose that one as your forum character.

Otherwise you're waiting until lvl 15 to post, lvl 25 to start a new thread as shown : http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-%28Aug.-22%29

The forum shows you as a level 8 gladiator. If you've got something higher level than that, switch that to the first class listed in Settings > Edit Characters. The forum restrictions go by the first of the three classes you choose.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

I take it that by "same kind of issue" he's referring to the Lodestone not updating his character info in a timely manner. (In the "About Me" section of his profile, he claims to be a level 29 Gladiator, but the Lodestone shows him as Level 8.) It usually keeps up reasonably well, but occasionally there have been issues with it having a long delay before the Lodestone sees changes in a character's classes/level/gear. Plus, for players leveling quickly, even fairly recent data may show a significant difference in levels (though rarely quite that far).

Unfortunately, there isn't really anything that players can do about that besides wait for it to eventually catch up. Sooner or later it will update and bring in the more current info.
