    I still think that SMN DoTs should recieve a change to function based on pet.
    (What follows is just random ideas spinning aorund my head)
    Give Titan a 'Defiance' stance so he *can* tank for you solo, but doesn't have to in groups.

    Make the UnAspected DoTs match the Element of the Summon you have out and alter the behavior of the DoTs, for example:
    Garuda -> DoTs will deal 80% damage up front with the remainder as a short DoT - Wind Element
    Ifrit -> Half Duration DoTs with damage equal to the DoTs original duration - Fire Element
    Titan -> 75% duration DoTs with the last 35% dealt when the DoT falls off - Earth Element
    Carbuncle -> Same UnAspected DoTs we have now.

    The idea being that the total damage output of the SMN is the same per Summon, with different summons being better for different situations. Garuda would be more useful for dealing with adds that need to burned fast, while Ifrit would be useful for small adds that die too quickly for regular DoTs to do proper damage. Titan would be for .. Well, i dunno, maybe a regular SMN could tell me what they would find that useful for.

    Those are just example ideas i had in my head.
    Use an AntiBody (The buff the mobs get after Virus) buff to keep the various DoTs doing the same damage over the 18/24 second durations regardless of your active Summon.
    Example;
    -Carby out, your Miasma does 400 damage over 18 seconds.
    -Garuda out, your Miasma does 350 damage instantly, 50 damage over 3 seconds, but you cant Miasma the target again until 18 seconds after the initial blast.

    In an 18 second period, both versions of Miasma would deal 400 damage in 18 seconds, but Garudas blast would help you nuke an add faster (or solo where Mobs never live the full duration of DoTs) without making it do ridiculous damage to bosses via spamming Miasma.
    Oh, and i would change the Summons themselves to be instant on a shared 20 second timer, which would allow you to change your summons constantly through the course of a battle.

    I hope they'll move the Grimoire to off-hand and let SMNs use rods in main-hand. It's hard to look cool when you fight with a book.

    I wish they would bump up the animations to all jobs and it would be nice if the stances and moves changed in look based on gender and race. not just idle poses but actual battle poses and animations. Even though this isn't ffxi (nor should it be) one thing that really stood out to me back when I played FFXI was the difference in animations across the races.

    Elvaan male had a prideful stance in all its movements, tarus added backflips to everything, Galkas just straight beasted everything, mithras had catlike stances etc etc. Things were very different depending on the race and gender you had. Loved it. Hope FFXIV will do better in the future to make things more diversified.

    Edit: They should also make the poses optional for those who don't necessarily want their female character to be feminine in attack poses etc and vise versa. Probably wont happened but just a thought

    Why not both? New skins for Egis and the ability for Ifrit to cast Flare.
