You don't like boss battles? Or are you sating you do not like facing classic elemental manifestations in this game, set in an arena to be faced by 8 players? this is a serious question, not trolling.

I like boss battles, but I find Primal boss battles lacking. Funny enough, I like Thornmarch in all its iterations to be most fun, just cause of it being slightly comedic and VERY chaotic (unpredictable, or more unpredictable than the other ones we have). Mostly, I'm just tired of getting a new primal with a weak story behind it being reduced to an arena team-jumprope fight that gets repeated to no end like they're some cheap mobs. This is totally in my head though, as it makes me think Primals are easily accessible weak opponents, instead of being Primals of great power. Once you do a Primal for the purpose of progressing the story, you hear nothing from or about them. You can, of course, continue to grind them, but the bottom line is that they become trivial till their next iteration (Story Mode > Hard Mode > Extreme > Insane? and that's just for the new set of iLvl items, nothing that would tie them more to our world or give them more depth. I could elaborate more but I hope this is enough, without smothering you in text![]()

nah, i totally get it. Thanks for explaining. I haven't done Ramuh Ex or Shiva Ex yet. I find that I'm not motivated to do it because the gear is basically just glamour gear because they are never the best (I don't really care about that though). What irks me is that they are kinda just "heres a boss for you to kill" and then farm it if you want to.
Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan HM were actually useful because they blocked you from getting the best weapon in the game at the time. I thought they really had something good going there. At least the story had a payout aside from lore. It was a part of the relic quest, where now its just a battle for side grade equips. They should have tied the primals to the new step in the relic quest. just my opinion though.
And in the end, it will probably just be the same old same old over and over again.

The idea of a primal rush doesn't appeal to me too much, but I think that the idea of battles against simultaneous primals sounds promising!
When Diablo III added the Infernal Machine fights (which pit the players against pairs of bosses found throughout the game), it was really quite interesting. The paired bosses often had very interesting synergy, such as the way Zoltan Khule's Slow Time bubbles could set you up for the Siegebreaker Beast's charge attacks, or how Ghom's poison clouds forced players into tight quarters with Rakanoth, a boss generally best kept at a distance.
I'm not sure it would work well with Ex Primals, though. The Ex fights are VERY tightly scripted with a lot of stuff going on at once; players need to be standing at X position at Y time or someone's going to die. Putting two Ex Primals in one arena, it's all too likely that the two primals will wind up doing their "screw you" moves at the same time, leaving NO safe position to stand. (For example, Titan readies Upheaval just as Leviathan gets ready to slam the deck - Titan knocks everyone back, and anyone who managed to stay on deck after that gets washed away when Leviathan hits.)
Paired Hard Mode primals might work better, as those fights are significantly less "busy". There's really no combination of Hard Mode abilities I can think of that would guarantee a wipe (where such combos would be distressingly common among the Ex crew). It might make for a good "intermediate" difficulty between the Hard Mode primals and the Extreme Primals.

i agree with this, I would love to see the primals become characters that we frequently see and have to deal with. It seems silly that we rarely encounter them in any meaningful way more than once, seeing as how they're hugely powerful creatures who tend to have world conquering ambitions.
Probably not the best solution, but I wouldn't mind seeing all of them as world bosses akin to Odin, in addition to their instanced versions.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.

I rather we see we fight 2 ex primals at once. It would be a real challenge and so much fun.
Personally, I think the primal fights are all well done. They are not the most challenging fights in the game, but they are accessible for average players, have some of the best music and are very visually appealing.
I still remember when Ifrit was introduced, Primal Judgment was one of the best BGM's in the game and the fight had a real serious and epic feel to it, with explosions going off all over the place, that infernal roar in the background and that music that just made it feel like it was a fight to the death.
Sure, we've grown sick of them, but who the heck is shoving it down your throats? "Over it?" its just game content, you get it done then move on to the stuff you like. They've done a good job giving hard core raiders a challenge with Coil and savage coil, but they have a story to tell in the main story line and I think they've done a good job of it.
just my two gill.
