Magitek Mount Music

Ever since we got the teaser for the Magitek mounts that had the old school FF6 theme music in it:

I have been waiting for SE to implement it into the game as the actual Magitek mount music. Why have we not seen this done yet? It seems like such a simple thing to do...

There was a huge thread about this for a good while with a lot of people behind it, and we still heard nothing. So I would expect nothing will be changed.

At first it was like

Wow! There sure are a lot of requests for a special magitek armor mount tune!

We let the mount lead know that there were so many requests for this and he mentioned that they would look into whether or not they can get this implemented.

I know that this has been a very long and ongoing request to add. We checked in with the Lore team about the possibility of adding Terra’s theme as the background music for the Magitek armour mount, but as this is a suit of FFXIV-specific Magitek armor, they do not have any plans to use that song.

I understand that there are some people who don't care about something a small as this, but after watching the video of the release teaser for this mount, a lot of us who played FF6 in old days, were struck with nostalgia. Hence the desire for this music.

I don't think the fact that since this is FF14, not FF6, we will not use the music, is a valid reason. I mean, for crying out loud, they have reused just about everything else in the FF series in this game already, what does one song hurt?

I agree. FF6 was one of my favorites. I was expecting this to play when I acquired the mount --- This was when I first saw someone else driving it though. If they can port over the Battle theme for Ultros's fight, they should be able to port in this theme too. -_-

No offense to anyone, but that SE reply is a complete bullshit. We have "FFXIV exclusive content" playing FF2 battle theme, we have Gilgamesh, Hildebrand, Ultros and Typhoon.

That was the repeated counter-argument in that thread but they didn't reply back. So pretty much I gave up.

Yep. I guess "no" wasn't a good enough answer so they felt they had to throw some kind of wordy answer in there even if it didn't make much sense.
